Anyone know how many times Episode 1 was downloaded in the first day/weekend? Just curious to see how many people have been following enough to check it out.
Well, there've been over 7000 new members over the past week or so, and I'm guessing most of them were signing up to download the game. Plus all of the people that already had accounts.
Yesterday evening at around this time we had at least 8000.

Holy cow! That's a lot of downloads!
Wow in just over 48 hours? Very nice!
So I think it's safe to say that The Silver Lining is a successful revival of the King's Quest series!

Oww, that is a great success indeed!
Did you had an estimate/expectation before you released it?

I don't know what the "cost" to develop a game like this would be (if everyone was paid for the work...etc.). With that being said, if people were to pay $35 for the game or $10 per episode (IE Tell Tale Games) that would end up close to 750K. I still don't see if that could support the development to revive the game/genre. I hope that in time it sparks an interest, and 13,00 downloads is tremendous, I just hope people don't take that as KQ/Adventure gaming is back. Mainstream games sell in the millions of copies. I wonder how many people would have downloaded the game if it wasn't free. That being said, way to go on the success, I hope for better numbers to come and even more so when $$ is on the line with C9.
Well it has only been 48 hours, 13,000 downloads isn't bad for a launch title. Give it some time and some increase in hype (particularly once the second episode hits with more gameplay and puzzling) and I think that 13,000 number will look like pocket change.
I wish I had £13,000 in pocket change, mmmm so many cakes
Aw thats great news so far guys XD yaaaay!
