I am on chapter 4 in KQ7 at the very end where Rosella is trying to open the fountain all the way. I try using the wand on the scarab king so he can help me open it, but it doesn't light up to show it as usable and just won't do anything at all. I also tried using the scarab on the wand.
I may have messed up when I first got the wand. When I looked at the wand I switched it to the "f" and "t" a few times not knowing what it was. I have tried switching it back and forth from "t" AND "f" on the king and nothing happens.
Is this a bug? Has this happened to anyone else? I am going to be sad if I have to start the entire chapter over again :p lol
Hmm...have you tried saving, quitting, and reloading? Make sure the wand is set to T.
I have done that a couple times and still the same thing. The only thing I can think of is that I forgot to do something, but I am pretty sure I already did everything there is to do in that room except this. Arg...
What all have you done in the room with the fountain?

I read the writing under the statue
Got the grape and fed it to the statue
The statue spit it at the fountain and the fountain came up
I am not strong enough to open it and the wand won't work
Maybe I should just restart the chapter and see if it works if I don't mess with the wand before I have to use it. I know it will take a long time, but after just doing everything it shouldn't be as long (And I really want to finish this...its the only KQ I haven't finished!:p)
I will let you know what happens.
OR I could just start at the next chapter since I was at the end anyway?
There's a quick scene at the end of chapter 4 that's crucial to chapter 6. Don't give up yet. See if you have anything in your inventory (besides Otar) that might help you pry it open a bit yourself. :)
I tried everything and it didn't work, so I ended up restarting the chapter and just skipped the scenes so it went pretty fast.
This time I made sure not to touch the wand at all before using it, and it worked. So lets take this as a lesson: don't change the want to "f" or do anything with it until you need to actually use it :) I don't know if that is why it wasn't working before but it was the only thing I did different.
