House, apartment, or neither?
You're referring to "We Don't Go to Ravenholm", right? I played it many years ago, in my youth, and was so scared that I muted all game audio and looped Billy Joel's "Root Beer Rag" just to get through it. And even then, I was still scared silly.
That sounds familiar, yeah. It's been several years now.
The fact that the first thing you see is a pair of severed legs swinging from a dimly lit tree sets the tone for the whole level. I only played through it because I knew that it was worth it for the sake of the game as a whole. And indeed it was. It's among my favorite games of all time. Some levels (Highway 17, Water Hazard) are just amazing, I think.

I'm most curious about anything pre-Sumeria/Ur (some of the earliest known civilizations)... but as for time period that we know stuff about in a more definitive way :P... I'd say it's a tie with medieval era (Europe and the Orient... possibly the Americas as well (don't really know much about American aboriginal history myself)) and Ancient Greece + surrounding cultures.
Should I never have coffee again ever or always have a cup of coffee no matter how late it might make me?

Do you has a kitteh?
I dursnt. 'Tis a problem
Do you has a kitteh? (since I sort of leapt in there)
Noes :(
Have you seen the Back to the Future movies?
Yes. :P I remember thinking "Oh, that sounds like my screen name, but accusative. ???" The plot was too repetitive to keep me interested and I spent ages obsessing over the inaccuracies as I am wont to do when time travel doesn't make sense (the latest Dr Who Christmas Special annoyed me very much). :P
What's your screen name in the accusative of your preferred language? :D
Hmmm, Deloria, I'm not sure what you mean by that. ??? But my screen name is Haids1987 almost everywhere.
What movie do you secretly love but are embarrassed to admit it? (Don't lie, you know you have one!)
Quote from: Haids1987 on January 27, 2011, 12:08:49 PM
Hmmm, Deloria, I'm not sure what you mean by that. ??? But my screen name is Haids1987 almost everywhere.
The accusative is the case of the direct object (I hit the ball. Orbem futo. (Instead of: Orbis me futat. The ball hits me.) caveat lector: orbis is likely NOT the basic Latin word for "ball", but I am not going to look it up: those who know will have to suffer(or correct me at their leisure), those who don't will have to live in doubt.)
In order to answer Deloria's question, we would first have to cast "Haids" into a language which has an accusative (Latin, Greek, Russian, Romanian, Lithuanian, the list goes on and on) which would mean picking a declension, stem, etc., and then we must further cast it into the accusative case.
Taking Classical Greek, for example: "Haids" is clearly third declension though it needs a little work. "-ds" could be a zeta, but I find it more plausible that the stem is "Haid-". Dentals (t and d) are dropped when they meet the nominative ending -s, so Haid- + -s becomes "Hais" (h-eye-ss). Then, the accusative is "Haida" (heye-duh). We may now put "Hais" into any case we like as such:
NOM:Hais
GEN:Haidos
DAT:Haidi
ACC:Haida
VOC:Hai
En effet, your name follows the same declensional pattern as pais, paidos - child (which shows up as "ped-" in a great many English technical terms).

It's "pila". :D It was one of the first words I ever learned. :P
*Scratches head*
Well okay then. :) Thanks for clearing that up! ;D
Getting back to the questions...

What movie do you secretly love but are embarrassed to admit it? (Don't lie, you know you have one!)
Hrmm... I know I have some... numerous even... I can't think of any >:( :-[ ...I know there were some girly-ish movies I used to like when I was younger that my brother et al. gave me a hard time over (and thus the usage of "used to")... let's just say that I secretly sometimes enjoy the feel-good Lifetime channel claptrap (dysfunctional family finding function or at least peace with its dysfunction, etc.) even though I think it's generally a load of bollocks.
What night is homework night for you? *is going to have to institute a reasonable bedtime and a homework night for himself in order to get things done* (which is my roommate's fault really :-\... she stays up until 2 or 3 in the morning most nights playing video games and I get pulled into most of it XD (it's fun... but... I need sleep))
I don't have a homework night...I'm out of school.
If you could own any 'home' in out of any KQ game in real life, what would it be? (Examples: Castle Daventry, Connor's Hut, Mannanan's House, Mordack's Castle)
Hmm, good question. Immediately I thought the Castle of the Crown, but the druid's treehouses are also pretty rad. OOOOOOOOOOOOOH! Never mind, scratch that! I totally say the castle in Etheria. That land is my little girl fantasy come true. :smitten:
What DVD release are you looking forward to in the coming months?
I have no clue what's coming out. We don't watch much of anything these days unless it's Veggie Tales, Thomas, etc. :-\
Have you read the Wheel of Time books?
The first ten years ago. I read them all up to what was out at the time, and have been waiting for them all to be out before I start at the beginning again. Soon! :D
What's your favorite Girl Scout cookie?
Samoas. Mmmmm. My sister was a Girl Scout when we were younger, so I'm quite well-versed in the ways of cookie lore.
What name do you absolutely love?
Girl: Serena
Boy: Landon
What do you like most about spring?
Thunderstorms. :D
Do you have a favourite word? :P
Onomatopoeia. It's so fun to say! ;D
What is the one thing that drives you the absolute most insane?

Which browser are you using to view the forum right now?
Google Chrome.
What are you currently listening to?
I just put on I Love Rock'n'Roll.
Ice cream?
None for me, thanks. Bothers the tummy, you see.
Will somebody PLEASE turn the heat back on?! >:(
Yes. That was easy enough.

Are you ready for spring?
I've been ready for spring since the first day of autumn! The dark months suck. Spring and summer for the win! (Except for the allergies. I will be sneezing like crazy/snotting all over the place over the next six months, but it's worth it. That's why I have Flonase. :))

If I recall my second-hand English history correctly, I think it was the Norman Invasion in 1066. The Norman and Anglo cultures sort of merged, and since the Normans were a Germanic tribe, their language became a huge influence for English.
Did I answer that question correctly?

Darthkiwi may kill me for simplifying this, but I have to leave in four minutes. :P The Normans (French) invaded the Saxons (a tribe speaking what is now more or less Low German (which is coincidentally spoken in the North of Germany)). So does mine. :( :( I mean, it clearly had to have happened before the colonies had even been established, otherwise a pidgin would have developed in what is now the US because the old colonists would be speaking whatever it is they were meant to be speaking in Blondie's make-believe world before English was German-based and the new colonists would presumably be speaking German and the German oppressors would had to have banned all English and that just isn't how life works. :P Consider, for instance, that all French dialects except for Parisian were banned for quite a long time in France, but that didn't get very far in practice. :P
But really, a war of less than ten years changing rudimentary grammatical elements like structure and word order and leaving traces of declension in a principally almost uninflected language, even though the aggressors never got to the mainland? :P It's just silly. :P

Maybe she thinks language is updated by the software manufacturers instantaneously :P Germany invades England and just uploads its own v. 1.5 patch and suddenly all the Americans are speaking a partly Germanic language! XD
And, no, I wouldn't kill you, even if you butchered the history of the English language. :) Which you didn't, by the way. This is true. :P There were also places in which Norse dialects were spoken until quite late and Norn (which is similar to Faroese) was spoken in Shetland up until the 1850's, but I couldn't mention it because I had to rush off to be in time for my midterm. :P

Sucker Punch.
Airplane or train?
Airplane. Trains are bad for the environment.

I think it depends on the type of train. European trains tend to use more fuel per person per mile than a turbo engine sports car. I don't know much about the Japanese bullet trains, and I don't remember the type of fuel used for planes or how much in emissions that releases. I guess I implied a premature comparison. My bad.
Now you've got me interested. This is only loosely related, but the bicycle is the most efficient means of transportation!

So... anyone going to answer the question? ;)
Bananas...I prefer them halfway between yellow-green and yellow.
So...yellow-yellow-green?
No, it's yellow-green-green.
Why is the rum always gone?!
Idk, because Keira Knightley burned it?
What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
~20 miles per hour (http://www.style.org/unladenswallow/) (the revised estimate)

Probably the broken ankle.
Are you having a good weekend?
Yeah, it's pretty good.

What is an odd nickname you've accquired?

When did you last play with food? :P

Isn't a vegetable considered a food? ??? In any case, food. I'm weird about the green stuff.
Who was your first kiss?
:P (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1531)
How many tabs do you have open?
11. I had so many open that I had to pull them out into separate windows.
In Windows, when a program (Matlab for instance) tells me something that is obviously false, I close it and reopen it on the grounds that "maybe it just hasn't updated quite yet and will see it after I do this". What do I do in Linux where there's nothing to close?
Kill the process and restart it? Reboot?

Turnovers. Unless dougnuts qualify as pastry - then doughnuts, definitely!
Are you ready to be done with snow?
Heck yeah I am! It snowed at the end of March into April 1st and I thought really? Mother Nature, it's supposed to be spring! I got quite annoyed by that.
Do you watch Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart? (inspired by my media ethics paper).
Infrequently, yes, I enjoy both shows very much.
Have you ever fallen from a height of 1 story of greater?
Can't say that I have.
Have you ever been on tv?
I actually have, back when I was like 4 or 5 I did ballet and Hawaiian dances all alone since the other kids in my class ditched a performance and people from the city filmed it and so they apparently used clips from that on the city channel or something. I didn't live in that city so I never saw it but people told my mom. There's also a very small chance I may be again on TV again, different reason of course ;)
Ever post a video on youtube that got over 100,000 views?
I've never posted a video on YouTube, so no.
Did you know hyenas are genetically closer to cats than to dogs? (We went to the zoo last week. :))
I did not. Interesting!
Are you stoked for the Royal Wedding this weekend??
Not at all.
What do you think of Quentin Tarantino's work?
I've only seen Kill Bill Vol. 1 and From Dusk 'till Dawn (I'm not sure if he directed that one, but I know he acted in it). I loved Kill Bill, and I want to see everything else he did, particularly Inglorious Basterds.
Is it cold in here?
A little bit, but there's no point in turning on the heat since I'm going to be leaving in the next half hour.

What the... ... what do you mean "if you could cry"? I can only surmise 3 possibilities: 1) you are a robot, 2) your tearducts were destroyed in some terrible industrial accident! :o, or 3) it's some sort of misguided machismo "I'm a guy; guys don't cry" thing. ::)
As for my favorite RPG, at the moment it's a toss-up between the Valkyrie Profile series, DDO, or Wild ARMs... but DDO really only competes when I'm about to level. ;P
As for my question: which of those three things do you think it is with DawsonJ? 1, 2, or 3?

I can think of another possibility. Anti-depressants can sometimes have that effect. I'm going with that.
When do you think Episode 4 will be released? :suffer:
I think Episode 4 will be released sometime this fall.
Snabbott, thanks for the save. Seriously, it takes a lot for me to cry because of years of abuse. I have friends in the same situation - it takes a LOT to cry, just out of survival, not to be "Macho."

Which language is more like Latin? Italian or Sardinian?
Due to phonological shifts, neither is actually that close to Classical Latin any more. I would argue that the external influences on Sardinian have caused it to diverge from any Latin origins moreso than Italian. (Latin was seeded in Sardinia by conquest. The native Italic dialect, already heavily influenced by other geographically extant languages, was never fully supplanted by Latin; by contrast, Italian in part developed from Latin in situ (that is via dialectic decay as opposed to the usual combination of dialectic diffusion (cf. the Germanic languages) together with dialectic decay and the effects of language contact (cf. the Germanic and Celtic elements of French). While Italian is not immune to these effects, it's substratum is more purely Latinate than that of Sardinian.)

Will while loops ever make sense in my brain? They're kinda freaking me out when I have to work them out...
I'd say roughly 95% of the time, a while-loop is used to replace a for-loop: so think of them as a for-loop.
A consequence of this means that we use while-loops when we don't know how many steps it would take our for-loop to reach the desired result but we can represent (mathematically) a condition that's true when we've reached the result--suddenly we have a reason to use a while-loop. This can lead to have loops in nested chains of for- AND while-loops.
Pretty much the only other time I can think of for using a while-loop is when we have a for-loop which we'd like to stop if something we don't or perhaps something we really, really want to happen happens: we can use the while-loop to exit instead of a break or return statement.
Why is everyone doing computing, eh?

Thanks for the overview. :) But they still scare me! Not as badly as they formerly did, since my instructor is making us practice them like crazy, but they're not all too joyous to work out. Apparently when we took the midterm and had to to decision structures, hardly anyone got them and made them a lot more scary than they were supposed to be. Programming, man--it ain't easy!

Why didn't Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout's parents just take the garbage out themselves? She was willing to do everything else, which seems like a pretty good deal to me. :P
Regarding loops:
It's really easy to accidentally make Do loops and While loops that never exit. :wall: That doesn't happen with For loops unless you mess with the index variable (not recommended).
Because it's fun to talk about Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout who wouldn't take the garbage out! You can't say, "Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout's parents would not take the garbage out!" That just doesn't flow right!

No - I don't actually watch much of anything these days. We got rid of cable, and we don't have a digital converter. Why do we have seemingly redundant letters like c and q? I bet Delling and/or Deloria could answer this one!
So, C and K generally developed in isolation from each other (then when Greek met Latin, they began a beautiful... something). Q is a more complicated story. In Greek, it was qoppa and was replaced with kappa (k, essentially). In Latin, it became attached to the labialized velar k
w and survived there into later languages (in Spanish and French and I believe Portuguese but am not certain, the w-sound was lost so that qu and k became equivalent).
Basically, initially, there were various different symbols for the same sound. Their usage (on a language by language basis) may or may not have been regulated by position.
Clear?
I also watch Glee but have become more and more hateful of it lately. I blogged about it a week or so ago...and am working on a blog post about the latest episode. I have some issues with it, possibly the least of which are the boring songs and performances at Regionals.
Clearer, at least.

Which was/is your favorite job?
See, this question is difficult for me to answer because I'm:
a) Only 24 years old and
b) A great employee and have only had two jobs.
So, of my two jobs, I've worked with elderly people and very young people. But I'd have to say that, even though I've been working with kids for almost five years as opposed to the ten months I spent as a nurse's aide, I preferred the job as a nurse's aide. I absolutely LOVED working one-on-one with my residents, and they taught me so much. I fell in love with them, so when they would pass away I took it hard. I had to leave because I couldn't handle it anymore! :'(

Hm.
Is it just me or am I the only person who likes their haircut for only the first day after they get it, two days at top?
I don't know - I usually like mine better a while after it's cut.

A migraine caused by drugs or a migraine needing drugs, because the latter has the obvious answer: Booze! The former, Booze, drugs, chicken soup, and Mel Brooks movies!

No, never. :P But I did sleep with my head under the covers last night because spiders have been appearing on my ceiling for a few days now. :(
How do you react when a spider hat was formerly there disappears? Or starts copulating with another spider in front of you and you just know they're going to lay eggs somewhere in your room where you'll never find it until hundreds of little baby spiders hatch and fall onto your face and eat your eardrum in the middle of the night?
Not technically my turn, but you guys are being lazy! ;)
I dwell and try to come to terms with that fact that it will kill me in my sleep. Living here in the sticks (otherwise known as the Pacific Northwest) we have our fair share of wolf spiders (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf_spider) and brown recluses. Which is your favorite musical?
I'd have to say either Wicked or Avenue Q, though I think I'd really like Reefer Madness.
Dawson, are you lactose intolerant or full allergic? If the former, I'd recommend Lactaid or some other lactose enzyme pill.

I'm allergic. I relied on soy milk and goat's milk when I was a newborn. Recently, I started getting nasty reactions to dairy products, like panic attacks from cheese, Thousand Island dressing, and "Special Sauces" (which normally have MSG, so that reaction could be from either). But, I've always had cold-like effects from milk - runny nose, overproduction of mucous, etc.
The lactose intolerance issue was my sister's.

Since I <3 Disney (has a year pass to Disney World, be jealous) I really enjoy the game in the sense I got to learn alot about Oswald and the pre-Mickey era stuff. Plus, it has a kind of unique game play idea with the two different brushes.
What have you done recently that you're proud of?
Installed a 1000 lb hurricane proof french door. Yes, it actually weighs 1000 pounds.
Do you like scrap booking?
Not hugely so, but I do have one scrapbook that I bring out once a year or so and update. I keep all the ticket stubs from the movies I've gone to seen, so that's one thing that's kept in there.
Can you use chopsticks?
I can make the best elephant roar you've ever heard, remember everything down to the color of my socks on the day I started preschool, teach a toddler how to zip his or her own coat, recite entire movies by memory--but I cannot wrap my mind around chopsticks.
Do you drink a lot of water?
Not as much as I should. Though I happen to be drinking some now.
Do you like pecans?

That sounds like it would be painful. :P

Do you like pecans?
Dang skippy! I have a whole assorted nut bar thing. But I don't actually "snack" on them. Every time I have yogurt, I add in minced walnuts, raisins and yogurt covered raisins.
I use cashews and pecans in my salads all the time, but usually I minced them (I.E. plastic baggy and hammer, I'm trying to patent it!) and sprinkle them over assorted pastas or sauces. But I really like pecans because they're so soft and if haven't had the privilege of having a good old fashion American Pecan log, you're missing out!
What would your last meal be!?
Okay, this is a loaded question: I've had to completely stop eating a lot of foods because my stupid stomach has a condition called gastroparesis and I can't digest much. HOWEVER, if it were like "Dude, eat drink and be merry, for tomorrow I shall die!", I'd probably pig out on everything I've missed out on over the past four years: pepperoni pizza with sausage and bacon; every kind of Mexican food you can imagine; chicken nuggets; french fries with ranch dipping; a big ole fatty cheeseburger with onion rings on it...ohhhh man. I miss eating. To me now eating rich is having extra pepper on my cottage cheese. :P
Did you know that during the famine in Egypt during Jacob's time, the Hebrews sold themselves into slavery to pay for food? :o (This was way before Moses' time.)

That's a bummer. I get the whole "I can't eat a thing anymore!" issue. I'm right there, too.
Actually, I did know that about the slavery. Years later, when Moses came along, they got the Jubilee Year, which allowed them freedom - except in the cases where they really enjoyed servitude. In that case, they had their (left?) ear pierced with an awl against a doorpost to show they were permanent slaves.
Which is your favorite restaurant?

ISN'T THAT FASCINATING?! I was rereading Genesis the other night and I almost dropped my Bible when I came across that passage. I have to move onto Exodus next to refresh my memory on Moses' time. I'll let you know about the ear piercing. :)

Lasagne Europa with meat sauce, peas, cheese and cream sauce
EUR 7,50 I know it sounds like some dinky little every day place but this place makes the absolute greatest pasta I have ever had in my life! And I have spent plenty of time in Italy and France. I live for pasta ^_^
Do you believe in / use alternative medicine?
I can't say that I use much of it. Not only is my stomach the pit from hell, I'm a migraine sufferer. I immediately reach for the butalbital and Prilosec when I have an ailment. Not to say I don't believe in alternative medicine or that it doesn't work, I've just never been raised to look there.

The church I go to suggest prayer only treatments. I don't follow it fully with taking six pills every morning. It's something the individual has to come to terms with.
Latest dream I remember... Burglars were in my house looking for drugs. But they left the house completely intact! Ha! There's another one more recent than that but I have no clue what it was now. There are some dreams i wish I would because they are awesome.
Off tangent: Hailey, is your email the same? I miss exchanging messages with you!

Funny anecdote: My parents sent me to a hypnotist because they didn't want to believe I had endometriosis.

It seems you're quite the traveler. One usually doesn't get to know places like that unless one's stayed in the area for an extensive period of time. :P Any reason for that?

Question: What would your perfect day be like?
A warm, sunshiney day of 80 degrees or more, hanging out with my family and best friends, snuggling my godson, and swimming. :sweetheart:
How many syllables is your coffee order?
None, don't drink coffee. Wish I could, but I don't like the taste.
What's one food you can't stand?
I really don't like the salty taste or texture of caviar, but I'm trying to get over that because I like the idea of eating it. :P
Why is it that all people know about Lolita is that it's apparently about child abuse? :P
Because nobody reads serious books any more? :P Okay, maybe a little harsh. But hearing "This is a book about child abuse!" will make most people remember the book as a child-abuse book, and will probably make them not read it. And if you had to summarise Lolita in as few words as possible, "child abuse" is easier than "a book about yearning for something intangible and transient which is doomed to disappear but which is the only thing which brings one joy, which is also morally questionable in most people's eyes, makes one question why one is doing any of this, causes deep trauma and hurt on both sides and leaves one dissociated and fragmented, questioning what the purpose of life was in the first place - plus all those issues of exploitation, Old Europe vs. New America, pop culture and monetary transactions, and let's not even get into that whole 'metaphors are stale and don't work in real life' thing, or the amazing literary game of cat and mouse he plays with the antagonist where there are so many intellectual clues and references it makes the Waste Land look old hat".
Do you know who Ralph Waldo Emerson was? I'm curious. I didn't until I was introduced to him by my degree.
Yes.
Who's your favorite person that you know?
Darthkiwi and Delling are my two very favourite people. :P Who I prefer at the moment depends on whether Delling says I look Southern or not. :P
What's the last thing you cuddled?
My doggie! ;D
The way this forum game works is that you post a response and then ask a question of your own. :)

That one time that you dressed Southern and that I failed to mask my reaction and you wouldn't let it go until I told you what I had thought... and I stupidly told you the truth that your outfit looked Southern rather than making something up... yeah... I'm never living that down... :-\ I would expect darthkiwi edges me out most of the time anyway. :P

;D
And, Delling... yes, sadly you will never live that down. But this is the way of the High Court of Deloria. She can hold you accountable for as long as she wishes because she is an Empress.
Judging by her praise of you, though, I wouldn't say you're edged out. :)
Maybe... anyway... :P
Uhm... does anyone have a question for this thread? (See what I did there?)
(Hey! That was two questions! :P)
Yes and yes.
Why am I on the forum instead of getting ready for work? :P
Beacuse the forum is more interesting than showering or brushing one's hair and teeth!
How long is your normal shower, anyway?
5-15minutes depending on if I'm washing my hair or not and whether my hair is getting "the full treatment" or not... I have long hair these days...
Anyone know a place in the Galway area that supports a hair donation charity?? :P
You can't be a misanthrope with me anymore if you start donating hair! :(
JAMIE! :D *GLOMPS* YOU WILL BE MY MISANTHROPE FOREVER! :D
Why does no one see the beauty in misanthropy anymore? :P
Misanthropy... my dear friend, my only friend. I see it as a wonderful thing. I have fewer friends than anyone I know, even though people tend to like me IRL. "Acquaintance or Friend?" is a constant question in my life.
Is anybody else glad that Toegoff finished his LP of Paper Mario? (He hated that game.)
*hasn't watched it yet, seeing as she's not fond of "blind" Lets Plays, especially if they're games she's actually played*
He did? Awww... but that was the game that got me into one of my favorite Lets Players- Chuggaaconroy. How come he didn't like it?
Dunno, I have not yet watched it either.
Which song on iTunes has the most plays for you?
Someone Worth Dying For by Mikeschair. If you like Christian music, you should check out this song. It's amazing. I've listened to it a lot this past month because I needed to hear the message.
What song did you last buy from iTunes?
I think it was the Famous but Shameless EP by some tiny band no one's ever heard of called Zero The Hero. I checked them out on a whim and for being basically a garage band, they're really professional sounding. It's a nice punk pop sort of sound. Check it out (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7W9wjJie-E) if you're interested. :)
What app did you last buy from the app store? :P
I don't buy apps. I make them in order to fund my campaign for world conquest, to which I'm training on Tropico.
Have you ever had a Vanilla Bean Apple Pie Bacon shake?
I have... not...
Bacon... seriously?
I don't get it either, but I also think mixing mint and chocolate is an abomination. :P
Do you like chocolate to be mixed with anything? :P
Caramel. :smitten:
Do you brush your teeth in the shower?
If I remember to get toothpaste, I'll do it while I'm letting my conditioner sit, otherwise I do it right after I get out. XD
What does your morning routine consist of? :P
Wake up, lie in bed deciding when is the absolute latest that I can get out of bed, fall back asleep a couple times (possibly missing earlier set deadline ::)), get up brush teeth, shave, get dressed, head into campus, get breakfast, get into the office sometime between 8:30 and 10:30.
(I'm working on that whole "getting up in a reasonable fashion" thing...)
What do you usually have for dinner and would you like more variety at dinner time? :P
Same varient of poultry, since I haven't eaten red meat in four years. And YES, I would love more variety! I hate being limted in what I eat. >:( Plus side? I've lost a lot of weight in four years!
What are you allergic to?
Pollen (the spring hates me!) and mold (the stuff on trees during the fall). The spring and fall are usually the only times I'm sick, otherwise, I'm quite healthy.
What do you do when you find a cockroach in your bathroom? Me, I pick it up, and usually toss it outside in the backyard. Squishing them, to me, just seems to make a big mess on the tile anyway.
A couple of years ago, I rented a house from some friends that was INFESTED with roaches. Imagine waking up at 2am because a roach crawled between your neck and the pillow! Back then, I killed them where I found them. I would be up at midnight doing some kind of Mexican hat dance on the patio, sometimes killing 20 in one session. I had glue traps and Raid everywhere in the house. By the time I moved out, that place was roach-free. Since then, I've had a hard time even seeing roaches without it turning into some kind of nightmare that night.
Do you have any food limitations (allergies, digestion issues, et cetera)?

I can't eat egg yolk without having horrible cramps. :( It doesn't happen when it's processed though.
Why am I studying instead of out celebrating? :P Why do I always get good news around exam-time? :P
Because it lessens the horrors of exam time.
How long did it take you to learn to ride a bike?
A few weeks to a few months... there were a few times that I fell and didn't try again for a while at a time. :P
err... uhm... <hushed whisper>...do you have a question? *can't come up with one* :( </hushed whisper>
Hmmm......
Why is a raven like a writing desk?
Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front! (http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1173/why-is-a-raven-like-a-writing-desk)
Coffee, tea, or other?
I like drinking chocolate. :P
People or snowflakes? :P
les deux, biensur ;P
Do you want bowls of snow with ice cream toppings now?? :D
No, I don't actually. An odd and unexpected (but good question). Got a trace of a smile on my face?
How do you bounce back from a (figurative) slap in the face?
Fall back on The One that raises me up.
Do you find memes annoying, funny, or both?
I use memes. :D People who count find it adorable when I do. :D
Will you play video games with me? :P
Yes! Tonight, in fact :P
Do you think games should have narrative, or mechanics, or both?
Both for sure.
Are you good at finding out information about people?
Quote from: darthkiwi on May 16, 2012, 06:59:10 AM
Yes! Tonight, in fact :P
Best boyfriend ever. <3Generally, yes. I can make people trust me fairly easily and then they tend to reveal all. :P
When are you least inhibited?
When I'm drunk around people who've seen me naked. :P (Which, btw, is a longer list of people than I really care to admit to so we're not mentioning it again. :P)
Do you take any daily medications?
Yes, Prilosec. Fun, eh? ::)
Which song/album will be your next purchase?
Hmm, good question.
Any recommendations?
The Scissor Sisters new album, Magic Hour. I love them.
Whats your favorite item in your bathroom?
