I thought I'd resurrect another old Asylum thread, especially since there are a bunch of new people here. This one's pretty self-explanatory: why do you use your current avatar on the forum?
In my case, mine's an obvious reference to the graphic novel Watchmen, which I love. If I remember correctly, I put the quote in my signature first (which holds a special significance for me), and then chose the avatar to go along with it.

Those opinions do seem to vary quite a bit. For me, it's a close tie between Tamers and Adventure, but Tamers wins out with more emotional depth and character development (imo).
Well, I'm a Space Quest junkie as well as a King's Quest junkie, and I really do have a soft spot for Stellar Santiago, as she is one of the few characters in the series who isn't a total jerk to Wilco. I am NOT a Stellar/Rog shipper, though. I'll view them as best friends or like siblings. ;D

Me, too! Space Quest was my first Sierra game - it wasn't until quie a bit later that I got into the KQ games.

Yup...until Broder-Buns...er, Broderbund objected, and it was changed to Spinal Frontier.
Oh, and the same voice actress (Carol Bach y Rita) was behind Valanice in KQ7. It's more obvious when you're hearing her play Sharpei.
When I joined the forum, I tried to pick a name of Odin for my screenname (b/c at the time I used names of Odin for everything (many of said things are still around, so I guess I still do)), but I couldn't decide on one so I went with Delling instead (Norse god of the dawn) and as a compromise of sorts, used a picture of Odin for my avatar (with a hat that looks kind of like Graham's (though you can't see it under the XD now)).

Well, Adrienne went with Hera, and I love her avatar. So I started looking at Age of Mythology gods and goddesses. We came across Aphrodite (can't remember if she is in AoM, but if she was, I didn't care for the pic), so I just googled images of Aphrodite :)
That is an awesome picture. Aphrodite is in AoM but the picture isn't really good for a forum setting. I love the picture, with the Greek Goddess around, everyone must beware. :D

Mine is the evil angel. That is, a sketch by the lead vocalist of the band Mew meant to describe their music. IIRC it ties in with the 156 video or goes with it somehow.
This one is a glass carriage from our wedding cake. We had a Cinderella theme. My wife got some clear plastic sandals (~glass slipers), and I had one on a pillow and put it on her foot. :D Her mom made the cake - she does amazing things with royal icing! :o

My avatar is Ike, the main character from one of my favorite games, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. Path of Radiance was the last great Fire Emblem game in my honest opinion. Nothing good has come out since. This was an avatar that I had lying around from when I used to frequent the site, Gamespot. I think I'll be changing my avatar soon though. I haven't decided whether I should pick something King's Quest-related or Fierce Deity-related. Fierce Deity was also another memorable character from another good game, Majora's Mask.

I have survival story on my ipod, but I haven't taken the time to listen to it yet.
Flobots are amazing. I agree, it is so refresing, A very unique sound and great lyrics and delivery. It is a very cohesive album and if flows really well and no track really seems out of place. All of the songs are good on their own too. The lyrics are so true and well written, from a really interesting perspective
I will give survival story a listen sometime soon. I have heard from my friend who got me into flobots in the first place that it is just about as good as fight with tools, but I have been enjoying fight with tools so much that whenever I want flobots, I want it.
Yeah, I remember listening to FWT for a week straight when I first found it. I always kept a Wikipedia page open because it often helped to know who/what they were referencing.

Thats a good idea. There are tons if references in like every song. I mean usually every line is important and means something specific in their songs.
I got into them from handlebars. I used to listen to that all the time, even though I am not the kinda person who obsesses over one song usually. I found out that it actually had a real meaning (the first time I heard it I thought it was a joke/parody), and loved the style. I just recently actually got/listened to the rest of the album though, and everything else is as good/better. Normally when an album only has one popular single and it's a less popular band, I don't usually get what I hope for, but this time I did. It's really varied, but I really enjoy the album all the way through. Lyrically and musically.
Yeah, I think almost all of the Flobots' popularity is due to Handlebars, which is probably still my favorite song of theirs, though both FWT and SS have plenty of excellent songs. Their albums' depth is remarkable. My favorites:
FWT: Combat, The Rhythm Method, Handlebars, and Same Thing.
SS: The Effect, White Flag Warrior, Airplane Mode, Whip$ and Chain$, and Panacea for the Poison.
In short, I like everything they have released.
My stubbornness has been on my mind recently, so I changed my avatar to the source of said stubbornness.
