About a week or so ago I believe there was (because of a topic I made about whether the Green Isles is technically a territory of Daventry), a discussion about just how the Green Isles' government might work--In terms of succession, the power of the Crown, etc. I was hoping we could have a similar sort of discussion about Daventry:
How do you think the government runs? How much power do you think Graham has? Is he an absolute monarch or more of a constitutional monarch like the British Queen? What about the Position of Prime Minister--we know it exists in Daventry from several sources, as well as the position of Seneschal--What do they think they do in Daventry? And what about the Dukes, Earls and other Nobility?
I think its implied that he has absolute power. He was able to fire his "prime minister" Gawain for giving him bad advice about sacrificing maidens to the three-headed dragon.
But seriously at times his wife is the one really running the country ;).
He isn't tyrannical though.
I definitely agree with Baggins - even just seeing him in-game, it looks more like Graham has absolute power over the kingdom but also has a bit of a touch with the kingdom-folk as it were, seeing as he started life not being of Royal blood.
A wise and fair ruler.
Well actually he was of noble birth(as was his father), just not of same line as Edward.
As for the Seneschal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seneschal), which is basically what Oswald does in the novels.
