Does anyone have larger versions of any of these?
(I know, they're very small. Thumbnails were the best I could find.)

EDIT: Removed docks picture.
Are you trying ot give KQXI-team some artwork to ripoff in use of his remake? Because a full size screeny of that below picture would save him alot of work of having to create a new piece of artwork on his own :p...
Not at all! I am collecting concept art for my TSL Archive. These two pictures are the only ones that, for some reason, were not archived by the Internet Archive.
To be clear, I am not involved in any way with the KQIX VGA project.
It was kinda of a joke. I meant if POS releases a high quality full color background concept art, KQIX team might end up "using it" in his 2-d game. LOL.
If you have either, you can just PM or email me the picture(s). That solves the problem.
I personally don't, sorry.

I was confused at first by your original statement, but now I get what you're saying. That KQIX project is a total joke. :P
w00t! I found the docks picture! I still need that wallpaper though.
Here it is:

It gets resized when posted, but it's larger actually.

You're welcome ;)
I have lots of old KQIX stuff in my HD, I'm going to burn a DVD with all that stuff and the 5 episodes of TSL once they are all released.
the VGA project is a joke? I thought it was legit and it seems like a good idea.....

My BS-compass might need a little tuning, but I was pretty sure it was either poking fun of TSL or mocking Phoenix for their legal battles with the C&Ds. Can't be sure nowadays though. :-\
I think it's a legitimate undertaking. The author has stated that he will release the second demo of his game when Episode 2 is released, so that will be a good indicator of whether or not he is serious.
Considering he intros his project by saying,
QuoteJust a few days ago the girls and gays at Phoenix Online Studios released their long-awaited adventure game The Sims Quest IX: Barbie Goes to Wonderland King's Quest IX: The Silver Lining...
I'm pretty sure he's not intending to flatter us.
I'm not saying he's a nice guy - clearly he's not - but the project itself, by every indication, is legitimate.
It's one thing to professionally dislike a fangame. But to attack the creators...that's just arrogant and disgusting.

Why is it arrogant and disgusting?
I mean you're attacking the creator of this TSL VGA project, saying he's ''clearly not a nice guy'' when you don't even know who he or she is. So, does that make you any better?
He's not attacking anyone though. Judging by his actions, it is logical to assume that this person feels very disrespectful toward TSL and its team and is going out of his or her way to BE disrespectful and rude in a public setting. Those aren't the traits I look for in people, and I'm assuming that's what Doon meant.
Making judgments on someone based on what they say and do is legitimate. :P
What Rosella said. He has said some needlessly rude, hurtful things to very nice people without reason. If he is a nice person, he has certainly not shown that in any of his actions.

He's (the VGA TSL person) making his own judgments it would seem.

But his judgments were uncalled for. The VGA TSL guy is clearly instigating. So if Doon (who may feel obligated to protect Phoenix from the slander that this guy is providing) responds with a judgment that is actually justified and reasonable, then he isn't as disrespectful as the VGA TSL guy. It's a simple
Eye for an Eye situation. The original fault is uncalled for, but the latter is justified.

I agree. If the VGA remake guy decided to publically mock PoS then I don't see why he should expect any sympathy on these forums.

It might not be his intention, but he is still doing so. Sure his tone is rude towards both the team and the game, but if he is really making a VGA version of TSL, it is flattery indeed.
hehe, there is that quote about imitation being the sincerest form of flattery I suppose ;)
I don't want this thread to turn into a hate-fest, on that person or on anyone else, though. So let's make sure that doesn't happen, okay? :)

I was thinking about the same quote, but I think that imitation doesn't include mockery. If he were to sincerely make a VGA version of TSL that was a serious project, and not a joke, I would consider that quote to be relative.

Aye, aye. No more hate-filled rants by me, from here on out. ;D
