I see that a lot of people are upset that the mansion located between the town and the docks is not in the game. I do not mind the mansion not being in the game and understand why you guys have removed it. However, I am curious to know is there going to be any reference at all about the old lady who lived in the mansion - and what happened to her after Kinqs Quest 6.
In the demo it was there, kind of. It was all overgrown and decrepit. Apparently it was abandoned once Beauty left.

That's too bad. I guess crashing a wedding and putting the royal siblings in a coma IS something of an issue. Maybe Crispin will give her a spell to help her out a little.

No such location exists. When you walk out of the village, the next scene starts you off on the dock. The mansion is not in the background.
EDIT: This was my first time playing the demo since I finished Episode 1. WOW! It's amazing how far the game has come since the demo was released.

I'm fairly certain it was never an actual playable scene. Concept art, yes. But I don't believe the scene was ever in the game.
I don't remember a playable area containing Beauty's old house, but I do recall concept art that was revealed early in development. Since there's not much use in the scene anymore (since Beauty is now with Prince Cocteau), I don't see why they would even include it.
For nostalgia, it would have been cool (though admittedly useless).
It could have been a fun easter egg, though. ;D

Nostalgia is definitely important, but I think the entire project has enough nostalgia to last a lifetime so that one scene (of utter uselessness) can be excluded. I'm sure it must have been weird to travel from the marketplace to the docks and not go through that familiar area, but overall, I can see why they left it out.
The house never existed in any game form (no 3d model whatsoever). I think we did do concepts and of course there was that contest.
