I have to applaud your first post as well. First posts are an alternative form of first impressions. Unfortunately for me, my first post was made about 8 years ago when the project had just started picking up, and chances are my first post was something immature.
Fierce Deity's first post (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=2517.msg107475#msg107475) ;D
I lol'd at the lack of punctuation and capitalization.
Ahh, the horrors of forum infancy.
By the way, if anyone starts reading my first posts, I'll knock them senseless with a :snake:. ::)
Bring it on!
*goes back in time and reads Jafar's first few posts*
I'm not afraid of any :snake:s!
Jafar's first post! (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=1623.msg70918#msg70918)
;D
I'm gonna split the find your first post stuff off into a thread in the Aslyum.
But also...weirdly, my first post is this (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=9.msg186#msg186), talking about a Theme Song, and my 2nd (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=1.msg188#msg188) is me actually saying I'm on the forums finally!
My first post was a question directed at Yonkey about the second C&D. Not particularly funny, but here it is anyways.

My first post (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=3003.msg130644#msg130644)
After the first C&D. Someone mentioned Monty Python's Holy Grail, so I had to do it...
Mine was back (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=2183.msg200742#msg200742) when I still watched Heroes apparently. ::)
Huh - for some reason I thought you had been around a lot longer than me, Tess.

Actually, that was my first post on
any forum!
Same. This is the only forum I am active on.
Mine's (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=6482.msg250777#msg250777) actually not that embarrassing. It's so formal, though! I wasn't part of the family yet. ;)
Very decent first post.

What can I say? I was a total newbie. ;]
I think my first post was in the Introduce yourself section. I was so quite back then, to shy to really talk to anyone. It's cool to see how far everyone has come in the years they have been here. A lot has happened. :)

I don't know if everyone knows this, but you can see a history of your (or someone else's) posts by clicking on your username and then on Show the last posts of this person.
I didn't know that but I guessed correctly. Woohoo!
My first post (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=1.msg75#msg75)
Granted, there were about 40-50 posts on the old server that when it died, we all lost our posts. So I'm announcing that I'm back again :P
What is this epochal server crash you're referring to?

LOL, people called you Koko? Weird! (But then again, I did too, so...)
She is Koko, isnt she? :stars:
And Say was a real spammer back then, double and tripple posting non stop. I also remember Leanne whining a lot about those lost posts :P
Nope, she's Cat. :scholar:
no way, not since she changed her avatar!
Oooooooh, you got me there. So what do we call her now? Aphro? :o
lol! I'm still Cat...my students actually call me Mrs. Cat XD
And yes, people did call me Koko...Say especially :P
*Shakes head*
So WEIRD. I remember when I ws too intimidated to call you Cat. ;] It took me awhile to get comfortable enough!
Yeah, I wasn't sure what to call her for a while. But after all, her name is Catherine.
I never really said anyone's name until after several months, when I finally got comfortable. I've always called her, Cat. Maybe Koko once or a while but for the most part it has been Cat. I have a post it on my laptop for professional emails to remember to call her Catherine. :pleased:
lol, really? XD That's quite funny! And it's been weird when I use people's real names on the forums who have been here forever, and a newbie comes in and goes "who is so-and-so?" and I'm like "wait, you don't know their real name??" XD
My first post:
"By my calculations the countdown ends tomorrow at about 4 PM Eastern time. About 28 hours left."
Wow.
I remember that post!

I was probably one of those newbies. I was very shy, and wasn't used to these forums, so I never got to know anybody's real name. The only names that I knew were Cesar, Neil, and Say. But they all worked for the team, so I don't think that counts. :-\

LOL, I was there for that one. Too funny!
I already relived my first post on this forum not too too long ago....
I would, however, like to lay a challenge down to some of the newer members to see if they can find my very first post on these forums. :)
Okay... and nobody give them any hints!! :P
I remember at first I referred to people by their usernames and some of the older forumers would get confused about who I was talking to (and I would get confused about who they were talking to -- it was a mess! :P)
I think I found it. It wasn't too hard (unless I'm wrong). I didn't post it, though, since I'm not exactly new.
found it!
I'm "newer":
Quote from: Questing CharacterI was feeling rebellious, so I decided I would make my very first post here.
Anyways, hello everyone. I just joined these forums. >waves< Expect to see me being equally as annoying as this (or worse) in other threads at a semi-regular basis. :suffer:
HE USED A SUFFER. :o
It might have been harder, but he put his previous username in his first post as crayauchtin. :P
Quote from: Haids1987 on September 08, 2010, 11:59:45 AM

Maybe he didn't know any better? Or it was part of his rebellion. :sneaky:
Haids, weren't you on the forum when I came back and posted a link to that as part of my reintroduction? I meant newer like... since the C&D, so they wouldn't have seen my reintroduction. But okay, fine. :P
The trick, as snabbott pointed out, was to find my first post on this account and then -- instead of posting that -- go find the *other* first post. Not much of a trick for a savvy adventure game player, I know.
And, yes, the suffer WAS part of my rebellion. I have been known to use them on occasion even since then. Y'know, to inflict suffering.
:suffer:
Honestly, I don't remember, Cray! ??? It seems like you've always been here...

Yes - but the difference is that
we have the knowledge to back up our :suffer: s.
I wanted to post something witty but I can't come up with anything. I think I do remember your re introduction Cray, but like Haids said, you have always been around.
It's nice to know I was here even when I wasn't. :P Thanks guys!
We <3 you! :sweetheart:
My first post doesn't appear to be my first, since I've got at least 300-odd posts missing, it'd seem.
Either way, it's embarrassing. That's what seven years on a forum will do for you.
Where is it, Mango?
http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=92.msg2243#msg2243
Hahahah, topic number 92! How far we have come!
Wow, 92. It's amazing how many threads there are...and some of you veterans have been around to see all of them! Very impressive.
I apparently didn't post in the first ever topic (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=1.0) though, although I was here at the time it was made!
The only people who posted in that thread and are still active are Cat and Cez. That's pretty sad...everyone moved on, I guess.
There are others. Katie, copycat, Oldbushie, and Storm (she hasn't been active on the forums in a while, but she's a beta tester).

Keep bringing that up ;)
I found the first topic i remember posting in. It was about how we all found out about and became a fan of the King's Quest games. However, I can't find my first ever one.
You can view all your posts in your profile chronologically. Go to Profile>Show the last posts of this person. ;)

In all fairness, Rob, when we made the first board transition, I lost over 1000 of my post count (at one point, I was the highest poster!), which was jolly annoying at the time.
Right now? Couldn't care less, but then it was not cool.

That's not too embarrassing, Mango. :) It's funny how different our first posts are compared to how comfortable we become here. Everyone needs a little while to get initiated into our weird litte world.
