Let the celebrating commence!! ;D
YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Ta-DAAAA!!!
Really had you going with the whole "2 weeks" thing didn't we???
...I actually didn't know about the two weeks thing, so no going with me!
Very excited - I hope I'll get some time to play this! Will it come with a Windows 7 patch like Episode 1?
The same patch, I believe, will be available and in affect. AND the Episode 2 download includes an updated Episode 1! With Graham's new walk, run options, short narration options, and more.
And we've finally got a manual, too!
Is Graham going to have a Levi Jeans swagger?
Either way, that's great that the first episode will get an update, and even greater about a manual! I love manuals!
(Psst... Release it earlier in the day than Episode 1...)
If you installed the patch previously you won't need to install it again.
This is great! ;D And I actually fell for the 15 days in advance thing, I'm glad it was a lie :D
Going to watch the trailer right now!
Well it's not that it was a lie per se, we just realized there wasn't really any need to give that long of a notice.
Now all we need is beernutts to tell us that Episode 3 will never see the light of day.
Roll on, weekend!
*applauds madly* YAY! This is AWESOME!
I've got a good feeling about episode 2, this looks like it's going to be packed with more action/puzzles than episode 1 (as the team has already promised). Also, it seems we are going to get more immersed into the plot. Anyway, I think I'm going to play Episode 1 right now :)
Can't tell you all how relieving it is to have this news out there!
Eeek! :D :D
Awsomeness! !!!
Yay! I'm so glad that everyone knows about this now. I love seeing all the happy posts.

Remember a while back when I said we had gotten an update and that it would make everyone happy? Well, this was it! :D
I don't remember - did someone actually say it would be two weeks between the announcement and the release?
YAY! I am kinda glad I played episode 1 so late! I would have gone insane having to wait!
conspiracy theory: all it will be is a huge virus that eats your hard drive and poops out a hat similar to King Grahams.
oh well.....
Wow! I go to class for 2 hours and I come back to this! :D

Did Austin Haynes write that really epic, cinematic piece in the trailer?
He did indeed! And it is truly is awesome and epic.
Wow, really? That's awesome! It doesn't sound like his usual music style. Maybe I should listen again.
Austin almost killed me last night as I pushed him to go more and more epic!!!! Kept the poor guy awake until 1 am!
But it's an awesome piece, isn't it??
Extremely awesome. Great work all around.

I just noticed Graham's new walking animation. You can see it when he walks up the stairs with Saladin.

I've been posting so much this morning, I didn't even realize that I'm now ranked as a Great Oracle. Cheers! ;D
that's not the walking animation :) That's a cutscene :)
I know it's a cutscene. I figured you had re-rendered the cutscenes with the new animation.
EDIT: I rewatched "The Making of The Silver Lining" (below), and the walk animation appears the same. So never mind.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bPV4s0Q5NI#t=1m43s
yes, what I mean is that those are keyframed animations made specifically for that shot.
The walking animation has been taken from motion capture.
Ooooh, I didn't realize that walking up the stairs is not normal walking. This explains how Alexander was able to specifically walk on each step in the opening cutscene of Episode 1. Thanks for the explanation.
Awesome :D! And of course...

I'm actually not sure if the new walking animation can be seen anywhere in this trailer, one sec...
Nope, it's not, but you guys are going to LOVE it!
When I saw the improvement in walking from the 2006 demo to the Episode 1, I was very impressed! This is just added greatness!
YAAAAAAAAAAAY! You guys! I'm so happy to read that. Great news!
You totally had me fooled with the "two weeks" thing. I was secretly scalding about it. :P

Me too. But what a nice surprise that made!
Was it just me, or did the back of Alexander's cape in the trailer look kind of like this?
You know, it would have been pretty useful to know back in KQ6 that he had superpowers. Who needs to obtain magic paint to make a door when you can just smash through walls? Who needs to solve the Cliffs of Logic when you can fly?
LOL! I haven't actually watched the trailer yet ( :-[), but I'll keep an eye out now. ;)
EDIT: Slowly, slowly waiting for it to load........
DOUBLE EDIT: Yay! I watched it, I cheered, and I got weepy. So amazing! And Gone, you're soooooo right 'bout Alexander's cape. Totally Superman!
I made a wallpaper from the new screenshot and trailer. It's nothing special, but I liked the screenshot so much, I had to steal the new logo, smack it on, and make the whole thing my new desktop.

The actual walking animations are much better now. It makes it much easier to get around the game.
Love it, Doon! As always, great work!
;] Please, thank the TSL team. It's really their work.
I think this is interesting. Here is the evil castle Alexander is seen walking up to as concept art and then as a 3D model.

Don't know if they have been posted already.
There seems to be new and original characters (the sirens and the cartographer), this was one of the things I wanted to see the most, new original stuff so TSL doesn't feel like a KQ6 remake.
This looks like it's going to be way better than Episode 1 :)

Did Episode 2 take longer to release because of the Narrator Issues from People, or was it always expected to be Released this far ahead.
How longer will we wait on Episode 3 will it also take 2 Months.
Is it expected that Episode 5 will be Released in January.
Will the rest of the Episodes be Longer then Episode 2.

LOL, slow down and enjoy Episode 2 first daventry! :)
As before and always, we anticipate the gap between episodes to be 1-3 months. We definitely don't have a release date on Ep. 3, much less Ep. 5, right now!
And no, there were plenty of things we had to fix and finalize for this episode. And I wouldn't really say it took longer, either--it's only been just over two months since Episode 1 after all.
I'm excited to play it through again... it's come a long way from the release of Episode 1, and it's been really cool to be part of the process. I hope all of you enjoy it as much as I have - or more... that'd be good too! :D
You have Episode 2 already, how. ???
He's a beta tester, I think.
I wasn't sure what I was going to be doing this weekend.......I do now! ;D
it hangs and it dangs!
Heres a random thought, will Episode 3 be Released on a Friday, since Episode 1 was Released on a Sunday, Episode 2 being Released on Saturday, then Episode 4 would be Released Thursday and Episode 5 on Wednesday. :P :P
Do Ken and Roberta Williams have Chapter 2 now. :)
Would be cool to see a Trailer After the End Credits of Ep2 for Ep3 :D
Tolin is part of the testing team, so he's been playing it in various versions for the last couple of months.
And honestly I think we got 2 done and out a bit faster than we had originally anticipated. Things just came together really well and the adjustments we made for narrations and animations were able to get taken care of while we were already doing other things that we would have been working on anyway.
Episode 1 actually also released on a Saturday, daventry. :) In general, we've aimed to have our big releases and announcements on weekends, usually Saturdays, for various reasons. It just seems like better timing for the fans being a big one!
Good choice, Katie. Gives us plans for the weekend.
I found out just yesterday, which was my birthday! Now that's a birthday present! ;D

Truly an amazing game. I haven't finished the second one, and I don't know if I'm going to get Brotherhood. I like where they are taking the series though.
Played both. In almost every area AC2 surpassed its predecessor. As for Brotherhood, I much prefer single-player gaming, so I'll probably just wait until AC3.

Haven't finished the second one yet, but I can already tell that the second one is better. I agree, single-player gaming is where it's at. I'd like to see what the next setting will be for AC3. They're getting closer and closer to Desmond's own adventure. ;D

It was much better than Episode 1 - and I really liked Episode 1, too! Episode 2 walked the line between classic Sierra adventure and modern drama/tension perfectly. It felt both classic and innovative at the same time.
How great? SO great. Allow me to demonstrate.
Voice acting: all the important characters had unquestionably great voice actors.
Improved walking/running: Speaks for itself. Well done, team.
Pathfinding: Nearly 100% successful.
etc.

Are you Allowed to Post Screens and talk More about Ep2 :-[ :-[ :-[
Has anybody noticed that in the Old Trailer, valanice stands by the Window with Long Hair and Graham flips her around, then she lays on the Bed with Long Hair aswell while Graham is talking about Himself, now in the New Trailer, she has her Hair Tied Up. Its Much Better now and more Natural, so why tie up the Hair.
I think there are two valanices or one is past and present or dream and real.
No i mean right when the Dog Guard is telling Graham to come with him its his Wife, Graham goes up the stairs and sees his Wife at the Window.
Old Trailer: Long Hair.
New Trailer: Tied Up Hair
Theres also a difference on her Face, she looks Crazy now :P
You'll have to play the game to find out what's going on with Valanice :P.
However, the reason her hair is up with just some wisps of hair coming out and not fully down is because the model with the hair down was just a mess. The hair never looked natural and it was too much work to animate the hair to move and flow. It was constantly cutting through her dress as she moved and it just looked awful. This was a way to still make it look frazzled but was much easier for us to work with :). Sometimes you just don't have the time during development and you have to come up with some alternatives. This actually ended up working even better than her hair being down.
Cool and i agree :P
So glad you liked it Doon!! ;D
It's pretty much a given that any time you see a computer animated woman with really short hair or her hair up at least some part of the decision there was the fact that it's WAY less of a hassle for animation purposes.

Plus, it looks fancier. A Queen must look her best, even when she's psychologically unstable. :P

The launch is worldwide simultaneously. The timezone will differ, but the game will launch worldwide at the same time. It's best to check your exact timezone. I suggest using a timezone converter (just do a google search and you'll find plenty)
Yeah it'll be available everywhere Saturday afternoon in United States Eastern Time, so whatever time that computes to for you in Australia.
Side ntoe: did you reply to my comment on youtube, Wilco? ;)

Saturday afternoon in the US will be roughly Sunday morning for us in Australia... Now I know we get it at exactly the same time as you Americans... but somehow it just feels longer. :'(

True, but you guys are always a day ahead of us. It's almost as if you guys are from the future. :futuristic:
That's how I felt when my sister was in Spain. To bad she still couldn't tell me the winning lottery numbers. :P

Right. Fetch me my time machine and laser gun. I'm off to save the world. 8)
Laser gun? I figured Australia would've graduated to the laser cat by now, surely. ;)
Also! The game releases tomorrow! Who's excited??? ;D

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JQcwxa0Xn8)?
LOL, that's awesome. Although I was thinking more of this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE_vfiZZkAQ).
LOL, I love this short!
I'm very excited, although by the time it releases and I get it downloaded, I'll have to go to bed. BOO.
Then don't sleep! It's literally that important.
On a related topic, go to yahoo news. This guy built a miniature city for cats. There is even a mini walmart. Its really dumb. Funny yes, but really dumb. But I'm more excited about EP2 this Saturday.
how can that be related to the release of episode 2!

I have the same Leanne, probably going to play it sunday or so.
So it will be released at 10 p.m. at night, Central European Time (Italy, Germany, France, etc...)!
Saturday night fever!
;D
Excited! :D
I'm excited, but also disappointed. I won't be able to download it because my college internet is so bad it'll crash in the middle of it... :'(

They shouldn't ask questions. Just tell them that you're working on a secret project for the government. You might even get a free mocha latte out of it.
Oh, wow. Just found an easter egg that was 2-3 minutes long! XD You guys are too funny.
Woooooo! What a wonderful world!
Waiting for tomorrow to download the game. I'm excited, and very happy for and proud of Phoenix Online Studios for their release. It's been a long road, and lots of hard work and I'm tickled that we're seeing the second chapter already! Good job guys.
Bt
Thanks Blackthorne! LOL, and love the avatar!
Guys... It's saturday already (anxious, anxious...!!! ::))
Ah I can't wait! I might just go to find a wifi location near me and take my laptop with me... I just hope they don't kick me out lol.

they probably won't. if they do, pause the download and go somewhere else with wifi to continue it. repeat this process until you have downloaded the entire game.
PS: I'm not kidding. that would probably work.
Lol, a nomadic downloader.

hehe.
I actually did that once when my internet was down for a week. Starbucks to BK to mcdonalds to whatever else I could find... Just pause whatever you are downloading if you have been somewhere too long/are getting weird looks/get kicked out, and then go find another place.
pretty funny though, yes.
