After Episode 5 is released and the buzz dies down, our community will no longer have anything to hold it together...I just realized this and it's making me sad...
Even after everything calms down, there's still going to be that small, close-knit group that always sticks around.
And Pheonix is planning on making an original game, so there's still something to draw newcomers in... :P

And, I mean, I dunno, about anyone else, but back when the game was still far from release, I came around for the community. The game was a really exciting afterthought, but entirely an afterthought. :P

Still though, this forum exists because of TSL. Almost all the threads (except in the Asylum) are TSL-related.

look at all the old posts. (Like REALLY OLD)
hardly any of them were related to the game. now that we have such a number of regular posters, we have no reason to leave. even if there is less on topic discussion.
I had this thought when I joined though. I didn't join till I think early 2008, and there was all that talk about the game coming out soon. I thought I had missed all the good parts of the forum and I was just getting the end. I also remember, before the C&D, before anything was heard from phoenix, not really that long ago (wow), when the forum was just about dead. Like 1 post per day, total.
then the C&D came out and that brought life to the forum, and soon brought back life to the game with the whole savetsl thing.
good times. now it feels like I have been here for a LONG time.

I think it's just that people come here because they're interested in TSL, but they stay for the community. We wouldn't be here without TSL, but I know that if I didn't like the people here, I'd just drop by the site every few months to check for updates instead of actually posting.
Rest assured, the forums will still have plenty to keep them hopping when TSL is finished.

Do you have any idea of a release date for C9? I know it's a long time away, but can you estimate at least the year? Also, will it be episodic?

I added it, been looking for some new smileys. Although it doesn't look quite as clean as I'd hoped! Hmm. Well, if anyone knows where I can find a nicer looking one, let me know. :)

Someone needs to edit it. make the white pixels transparent and change the colors and size to match the other ones a little better.
I got one that's a little better....he's blue, but he's not fuzzy looking! :whistle:

I would like to think that the community definitely wouldn't die, although I could see the KQ chatter getting a bit more sporadic... The place has been around for years and years now (I've been here for about seven and a half years, myself, on and off), so it most likely won't die.

That's probably all you'll get from any of us actually because we honestly don't know. It's still really early in production so I wouldn't even guess at whether it'll come out in 2011 or not. If it does, it'll be pretty late in the year. We've been so deep in TSL work lately that we haven't really done hardly anything else at all.

When TSL is done, I'm gone. Forever! TOO BAD FOR YALL! Nah, I would NEVER leave this forum. I have so many stories here I can't just leave. My goal is to continue working for POS beyond TSL. We'll see what happens. This forum was my first ever, and I've got NO intention of leaving it. I've been sporadic in my posting, but trust me, I'm a POS fan through and through. I agree 120%! I do have plans formulating in my head for a TSL meet-up in boston during Anime Boston, but thats not until april, and i still have to plan it out more. I'll get back to everyone as i know more. But I'm not leaving this forum. Not now, not ever!
Hey, I've made a lot of forum friends here! I don't plan on leaving! I like all of you guys, and I have a lot of fun here! I can't imagine the internet without my fellow TSLers. Plus, the game will always exist, whether it's new or not. There will be no reason to leave. :pleased:

That's probably why I like this forum and being online in general - things move at your own pace. I love the ability to type and re-type and edit until my words are perfect, and that's not something for which an equivalent exists irl. Talking is messy.

It's also interesting how demographically varied we are...It's easy to forget that I'm talking to adults sometimes, because everyone here has a sort of kiddish attitude (in a good way, as in optimistic and polite).
Haha, I hear you! We're all the same age online, but in real life we're parents, college students, teachers, spouses...weird. I never thought of it that way before. :)
