Learning how to spell
Manannan
the right way!
Is there a typo somewhere?

Is there a typo somewhere?
I don't think so. I think the name is just hard for people to spell.
My favorite part was probably
Alexander's dream sequence. Or the Valanice Falls sequence.
Both were very well done.
My favorite part had to be the ending. It's a cliche statement, but when:
I heard someone say "Gwydion", I was like "NO F***ING WAY"! It really took me by surprise. But for the most part, we learned that which we already know. The war and prophecy between the Silver Cloaks and the Black Cloaks wasn't really anything knew, but it was nice to have it clarified. Also, I like how you guys are even including Lolotte as a member of the Black Cloaks. I wonder if Malicia will be in this game too. Another thing, The Ranger is too cryptic, but a lot of what he said got me thinking about the Royal Family's importance to the prophecy.
Alright, I'm done. ;D
LOL, yeah, a Manannan misspell was giving us some serious crashing issues last week!

XD I REMEMBER THAT! (Ok, I remember the e-mails lol...) Why did his name have to be so complicated? It just goes on and on forever and ever...
Sidenote: I've been to Manana Island (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manana_Island,_Maine)! (Yes, actually.)

I want to build a giant statue of Manannan there now lol
Favorite part...
Definitely Alexander/Manannan sequence. Followed by talk with Edgar. And the Ranger part. And Valanice part. And the Nymph part. It was all really good! :D
With his creepy, shiver-inducing glare. :-X
I also really liked Hassan's comment about:
Being slapped in the face by a lover.
I agree. Episode 2 fleshed out his character a good deal more, with the conversation on the dock and his anecdotes at Seanymph Rock. He felt like a true seaman.
Hahaha, oh Hassan. He cracks me up!
"Nothin' like a sea nymph with four mouths..."
:o
And as the nymphs are swimming away:

That line got me too! It was hilarious :) But I didn't understand what was so funny about the four mouths line.
The line I didn't understand was Hassan's one about "two earrings"... Although we never see the other side of his head, so I'm taking he's going Van Gogh style?
I haven't finished it yet, but I got a kick out of Hassan's reference to finding a needle in a haystack.
"Boredom"
"Jollo, they're comotose!"
That was pretty funny. And I have to say, Hassan is a really good character.
"I knew this sea nymph with 4 mouths....."
"Thanks Hassan, that's enough....."
I think my favorite might be "Ahh, the salty sea air...like a bracing slap from a lover."
LOL! I'll wait around on the boat sometimes just to hear him say more stuff. :)
I liked that line a lot as well.
another of my favorite Episode 2 moments, is
Hole in the Wall! I crack up at that everytime. Including when a group of us were at Rich's place and Cez was recording the voice for the character. He had to do it at least twice because we all kept cracking up!
ROFL! I liked the part where Graham finds the Hole-in-the-Wall very much because the music, camera, models, and voice acting all come together very well.
I liked the Hole in the Wall as well. It's nice to see the little guy got out of the catacombs. As for my favorite parts, I'd say Graham getting snippy with the Black Widow was great. Also, Hassan seems to be acting more as I expected him to be, with the constant talking. And the dirty jokes about sea nymphs! That made me laugh as well. And for some reason, the comment Graham made after Hassan complemented Alexander, "He takes after his mother" struck me as funny. Mainly because I could see it being Graham's snappy one liner in an action movie, right before he commences beating some bad guy senseless.
Oh, and it was nice to hear the voices of the TSL team! Katie, I assume one of those voices was you and another was Cez?
There's an easter egg that features some of the designers voices, and all the designers did indeed do their own voices for it :) I was the voice of another character, too, but she'll be showing up later in the game. :)
I liked how Hole in the Wall showed up. In KQ6, Alexander thinks/the narrator says that they hope Hole in the Wall will find his way back home. I like that Graham comes in to help out so he can get home :)
I have to say I'm a fan of Graham's final line in the episode too. He says it, and I almost scream at him, "WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT? DO YOU WANT TO TEMPT THE UNIVERSE?"
Not to mention it was also a bit cliché...
I know! Doesn't he ever watch movies, or play games, or--oh yeah, probably not. ;]
I loved the cute little hole in the wall :) I just wish we could've seen more of him. In KQ6 he was just this little thingy. I liked how he 'spoke' so cutely this time! Hassan was great too.
Still, his life has gone from a kidnapped son, to the destruction of his kingdom from a dragon, to a heart attack, to a stolen family and home, to his son being declared dead at sea, to this! Graham's life is nothing short of a study on how things can get worse! Don't tempt the universe Graham!
Well, I got through most of it and only needed two hints.
1. The talk with Edgar. Eddie needs more love.
2. However, I will call it a draw as to whether he or Alex had it worse. Mannanan may have tortured Alex's body and enslaved him...but Lolotte twisted Edgar into a body that wasn't his own, and I'm betting she turned on the mind-screw in ways Manny wouldn't bother with. Call it a draw.
I may even do some fanfic about that scene. NICE touch with the scarring. Guess someone else thought of that at the same point I did.
3. Nice to see Black Widow and Ali again.
4. The glimpse into Alex's nightmare. Oh, @%^&!!!
Yes please, love your KQ fanfic! :) A slightly different version of that bit of dialogue about the Alexander/Edgar encounter (just explicitly stated the type of scarring) was released years ago and it was awesome to finally hear it voice-acted. Now just waiting for the Graham/Cassima conversation...

Don't forget he spent quite a bit of time as a stone statue as well :P
Haha, true. I never really thought about that.
It's okay, no one really thinks about MoE. :P
I loved all of it really, but my favorite parts....
1. The Edgar scene, although I'm sometimes like "gaaah how much is there to talk about with these people?!" I really did enjoy talking to Edgar, I agree with someone else who said he needs more love and I LOVED the part where they discussed how Alexander and Edgar are alike but also very different, I'm just loving all the development of these characters that I've known since I was 8 and learning more about them.
2. Hole in the Wall!!! He's so cute I didn't want to let him go!!! :'(
3. The end sequence was very well done, I want the next game already :P
4. Jollo and Hassan are great characters, Hassan's lines in particular are wonderfully entertaining
"there's nothing like a nymph with four mouths" o.O
5. Seeing the old lamp man again.
6. The Ranger guy, he's cool... I think.
Sooo much love for this game!
EP2 - very easy! I didn't get stuck in any place. Good!
I just didn't like the graphic problems in four points in the game, but still... great episode!
Ah! The little hole-in-the-wall! Since 1996 (when I played KQ6) I was wondering where did he go.
Oh, yes! Hassan and Jollo were great!
Hole in the Wall was one of my favorites and the Mag Gnat as well. The French guard dog is also quite funny.
My part is when Graham leaves Jollo, "Please don't abandon me!" My sister and I say it to each other when one of us has to leave when we are playing or testing an episode. Our mother gives us weird looks.
Haha, that was a well-delivered line.
After taking back Cassima's necklace from the sea nymphs, don't give them anything and ask Hassan to get ready to sail. Then the nymphs get mad and pull Graham down, Hassan and his first mate try to pull Graham back but Hassan's first mate gets "distracted" and Graham gets sunk.
Has anyone tried this? This was one of my favorites, although all the deaths of King Graham are my favorites (not because he dies :( , but because it shows the innovation of the design team and the death messages are fun to read :) )
That's my favorite death! !!!
I never died there. I'm gonna have to go back and take a look at that, sounds fun.
Yeah I thought that was my favourite death, as well, especially
when after graham falls in the water hassan says " I suppose if you have to go that's the way you want to go" I thought that was funny.
I also loved
Alexanders dream sequence and the ranger scene.
I also liked simple things like when
looking at the berrries in the garden, on the isle of wonder, you get wonderful insights into the royal family that you never knew before.
Actually I pretty much liked everything about this episode.

You mean tomatoes?
I think he means the grapes.
There is long story that gets told about the grapes if you look at them. Which is one that Cesar and I argued incessantly over! LOL, and which lead to my editing another description in the garden to the Narrator cutting Graham off before he could go on and on about something else!
I loved basically everything that was mentionned in this thread. I also laugh each time that
the red and white knight start arguing "Yes it is! Is not! Yes, it IS! Is not! It IS! Is not!..." and then Graham casually walking past them :). If you go back to Chessboard Land, they're STILL going on like that.
Rofl, I need to try that. XD
My favorite episode 2 moment was probably the whole Jollo bit, particularly the fake arm gag. I also liked the mystery being hinted at with the fading maps. The cutscene camera work was pretty great too, particularly the underwater nymph shot and the bird's eye henge pan in the intro. Hassan's salty seafaring banter was a nice touch as well. All in all, there where were a lot of little details that stuck out throughout the production that put a smile on my face, even if a few other bits annoyed me at the same time. :)
Yeah, the sea nymph animation in general was very well done. And I had forgotten about the disappearing ink thing. I guess that explains why the ink in the note on the door of the Pawn Shoppe disappeared in Episode 1, right? Though we still don't know why it's happening...

Actually the entire note disappeared, not just the ink. Another mystery ;D
Not really a moment but I cracked up when I saw the Queens' guillotine.
yup @rudy. Gotta love the horseys. :)
The epilogue. Gotta love it ;D
I (finally) just finished Episode 2, and I gotta say, my all-around favorite part was the conversation with Edgar. It was so insightful, and it really made you think a lot about things that never crossed your mind before. I really enjoyed every moment of that dialogue.
It also made me laugh listening to the background noises in the garden on the Isle of Wonder. A steaming teapot combined with a squeaky toy, a banjo, a cow, and animal grunts? I stood there until I heard them all!
And I musn't exclude the four mouths thing. Oh em freaking gee. ;)
Was wondering when we'd get to hear your thoughts on it! :D
Loved the Edgar conversation as well - things like that are part of why I love this game so much. :)
You're so sweet, Tess. :)
You're right, getting to know the characters better is one of the best parts of this game. I know some people don't like the long stories and how long the dialogue is, but I love it. It makes the characters more alive and makes the story feel more complete. Plus, I really like the voice actor for Edgar.
It's interesting how the parts some people complain the most about ("excessive" dialogue) turn out to be other people's favorite parts. :)
Lemme tell ya - nothing like a sea nymph with four mouths!

I loved the sound there too; very interesting and well-mixed.

Yes.
Listening to the guard dogs was a LOT of fun, and the dialogue and sound effects blew me away, but my favorite part of Episode 2 was really very simple: when King Graham sits in the (Roberta's) chair, part of his movement loop makes him look straight out the fourth wall, and his eyes are tweaked just so he's making eye contact.
Maybe it's sad, but that was the chilliest/most unexpectedly thrilling part of ep. 2 for me.
Haha! That's not sad, that's awesome! ;)

Well, I'm also a weirdie.
I haven't finished this episode yet but I have to say my favorite moment is this:
When Graham asks the Black Widow, "What can you tell me about... voodoo?"
I nearly fell over laughing! :)

Oh, is that a reference from another game? I didn't get that joke! ;]
Gabriel Knight :D
Oh. I don't think I've ever played that one before. Thanks, Tess. :)
Great game. You can ask that of most of the other characters in the game, so you hear it a lot, and they way the actor says is just awesome XD
Funny part is that that wasn't even planned! Jason just did it in his recording sessions and when I heard it, I loved it so much I had to include it!!
Jason is an extremely funny guy.

I added the narration that follows later, but because of Jason's line.
Now, the one from the bookshop was on the original script. I only had one reference! :)
I liked:

No no no. You misunderstood me:
I think it was in King's Quest VI where there

No, if there was a pearl it would have likely been small and hidden. *rimshot*
