Title: What is your favourite game?
Post by: StrangeOne on April 12, 2003, 11:34:10 AM
I'm curious.  What is everyone's favourite game that they play now?  And the answer can't be Kings Quest lol.

Probably one from the Legend of Zelda series or pokemon Crystal.  For me.  Too many good games to pin it down to one.

Probably Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, or Super Mario Bros. 3

But like Takari said, there are so many great games it is hard to decide.

While we're on the subject of old rpgs, have any of you ever played the old SNES rpgs?  Such as Secret of Mana or Tales of Phantasia.

I haven't played those two. I've played tons of Final Fantasy though. I also played Dragon Warrior for the NES.

Right now I am playing Chrono Trigger.

Speaking of "Tales of", there is going to be a new one on the GameCube.

I started playing Chrono Trigger a while back, but when I got the ship to be fully upgraded, there was way too much stuff to do and I moved on to other things for a while.

I also played through about half of Super Metroid, not exactly RPG, but still very fun. The water area got confusing though.

We can't answer King's Quest?!  Oh MAN.

I like Monkey Island (3 the best, but I like 1 and 2 as well...  4 was OK...), Toonstruck (anyone heard of it?  Brillian point-and-click if you see it knocking around for a low price!)...

As for others, I'vce just gotten into Zelda (where have I been?)- A Link to the Past (though I'm STUCK now), and Pokémon Sapphire!

Toonstruck?   Which game was that?  Because I think I've played it before.

Toonstruck - the game where over-worked, under-appreciated animator Drew Blanc gets sucked into his TV at 4am, and together with his greatest creation, Flux Wildly, has to save Cutopia and Zanydu from the evil clutches of Count Nefarious and his Malevolator!

Okay, that sounded like a total sales hype there, but I have NOT played this game in AGES, and I want to (but I lost my first CD *cry*)

Final Fantasy!!!!! :)

But i'm not playing one right now. Waiting for FFX-2 (drools)

Right now, I just got Post-Mortem. Haven't started playing it yet, tho. King's Quest IX won't let me!

César

My fav game series ever, by the way, is Gabriel Knight. 'nuff said :)

oh, and toonstruck is a WONDERFUL game. I've been wqanting to play that again as well. Great, great adventure game.

The best in recent years is The Loungest Journey. Syberia is nothing compared to it.

but that's IMO.

MangoMercury:
I have Toonstruck too, it's a great game. :)
I could send you a copy of it, since you lost the disk, do you want it sent by mail or do you want the iso (electronic copy) of it?

Hey, it'd be great to play it again, thanks bushie!  Erm, it'd probably have to be the iso of it (since my mum is kinda iffy about me giving out my address), how big would it be?  But it is a great game, I'm silly to leave my CDs lying around as I do!  I think I lost my KQ6 too *wail*  I'll find it, I HAVE TO.
