Haha, I beat you guys to this about a week ago, lol...but Yonkey deleted my post since I guess they wanted it to be a "surpise".
In fact, I was one of the first few to post that AND the whole GSN documentarty that mention Sierra in various places online.
yeah, I read that post, but the 'Game Informer' wasn't in the stores back then ; )

...the 'Game Informer' is not available in the netherlands ; / ...but the pages (linked in the newsletter) sure looks good!! I like the pic of the 'duality castle' ; )

Hee. I noticed Takari's post too, but I didn't notice it got deleted. ;] I had planned on maybe going out to see if I could find a copy, but I don't have much time to shop nowadays. Was it just the two-page article, or was there more stuff elsewhere in the magazine? Very cool article, BTW... more cool new screenshots! That evil-looking dude on the second page is creepy! :o

I didn't really realize how much steam this project had built up until I saw that article...
The reason I didnt say its because as I said, when I compromise for good prices thats exactly what I do, the ones given the EXCLUSIVE PREMIER EVEN BEFORE AROUND HERE OR THE KQ9 TEAM were our flash winners, aka GunHoMac, Pindarus and Adam thats why they knew first, ONLY the ones that have suscriptions to Game Informer knew about this at that time (cuz that week wasnt available everywhere actually right now it is)
Right now after that "exclusive week" we here at kq9 greatly show this, you may discuss it openly, ask, authographs... whatever :P hahaha :D
Of course we knew, I knew way back in january when we got interviewed by Joe :), Joe Juba rocks btw :D (he was the one that interviewed us for Classic GI)

I would of said something about almost two weeks ago but Yonkey had to delete my posts so they could suprise everyone and whatnot. I was shocked when I got it in the mail and sa the article. :p
Yeah, we had the interview with Joe the same weekend the NYC auditions were going on! XD
Sorry TakariFreak and Lonred, the reason we had to delete your posts is that we wanted to keep it as a surprise until it was properly promoted on the site. Plus, getting a sneak peek at the article was one of the prizes of the March game contest. ;D
Anyway, now that the article's out what does everyone think? 8)

Probably because the magazine isn't free. You have to be a paying subscriber in order to read it in their online magazine.

Well, POO ON THEM! I want to read the article! Well, I'm about to have to go to work and a computer game store is right across from my store...I'll just get there a couple minutes early and look!

the whole magazine has a lot of interesting adventure info, so yeah we recommend you all to get it, but the article is courtesy of kq9 team, and its online with those links above.
I am having the worst time trying to finda copy of the magazine. Grrr!! I'm gonna have to try looking harder.

We've already seen most of the art presented there though - all except the one with Graham riding the ferry of dreams. That one made me wonder if that part has been completed yet, or if it was it just a pose :S

How much does the magazine cost in America ???, cos lately we have lost all of the Australian game magazines and they have brought in American ones :-\, the American ones are good but they cost around $15 and the Australian ones were only $6 :-\
Yeah, so i thought they may have brought it out here and i was just wondering if anyone knew the price ???

you know, they do have a pr department I believe or a marketing department you can perfectly address those questions via email to them, in fact, you can get the online magazine which its sort of the same from the printed one I believe.
Ill have to look into it ;D, but first ill look at the newsagent ;B

I'm glad I wasn't at the AGDI forum on April 1st to witness yet another senseless hoax... hope the KQ9 team wouldn't get similar ideas from them :-X

and I do know partially what you mean, people have been pitching MY ideas to other forums (the contest and many other related, I dont post there but we have a monthly research, I do sort of know whats going on), but hey imitation is the highest level of flattering or so they say? Im "flattered" they like so badly our contest they want them everywhere, but sadly... not everyone likes to work as hard as we do on web staff to develope all we do for all our lubly fans, and I've seen more than I can recall myself, ideas pitched to there (as well as I do know some of you steal ideas from that forum to here) I have no complains, I wish I know who is the big mouth *gets silver knife* :P

This “Game Informer†article is a big deal for AGDI and us! We both did great! When I posting over in their area one of their folks wished us well. In turn I wish them well, for good karma and all. I hope that’s ok with everybody?

Ok... a little history lesson:
Last April 1st, AGDI announced they'll be releasing a voicepack for their KQ2+. Lots of forum-goers assumed this was an April fool's gag, since AGDI said before they won't be releasing a voicepack for it, claiming it had too much dialogue etc. However, it turned out to be the truth and they released said voicepack shortly after.
THIS April 1st, they closed down their forum, claiming it crashed or something (I wasn't there so I don't know they details), while they really were transferring it to a new board.
I hope you won't be doing similar things here, Say... teasing people and not telling them what you're up to is one thing, misleading them intentionally is quite another. Personally, I considered those hoaxes very unprofessional and in bad taste, not to mention a bad PR move.
Then again, maybe it's just me not liking to be jerked around ::)
I don't particularly enjoy April Fools jokes either, and rather than intentionally misleading people I usually just purposely omit information. :suffer:
However, bad taste or not, they did surprise and get people talking (the voice pack). It's also a gag that probably every AGDI forum member will remember for a long time. Whether it was a good memory or not depends on the individual ;), but regardless it was a publicity technique. ;P
With the voicepack, it's not the April fool's gag itself that bothered me. I wasn't on their forums that day so I missed it completely. What did bother me was the fact they stated there wouldn't be a voicepack - I pretty much stopped going there at the time, thinking there wouldn't be any new releases for a while (at least not until they finished the QFG2 remake), so I could have missed the voicepack release altogether. Not very good publicity-wise for people who left their forum, thinking there was nothing to expect... More likely, good for the mods who don't have to answer the question "when will the voicepack come out?" constantly (IIRC, that was actually one of the reasons they gave for keeping the voicepack a secret) ::)
Ahh, I see what you mean. Personally, I wouldn't do that to anyone. I do like surprising people, but usually by showing something that they weren't expecting. Lying to people and then surprising isn't really my style. :P

Anyhoo. I don't like April Fool's Jokes either, myself... for one, I spent my childhood having a lot of malicious, mean-spirited, and unpleasant pranks pulled on me. For two, I just don't have the time or inclination to futz around with determining whether or not somebody is putting me on. :P

I just went to the local Game Stop store in a mall today and not only got 5 copies for free since it's now technically last month's issue (score! free!), but also impressed the heck out of the clerk when he asked why I was wanting to many copies and I told him it was because I was in it!! ;D ;D ;D It's almost like super major mini celebrity...to a very minor tiny degree. But it was really cool!!
So you got 5 copies of Game Informer ???
