Hey everyone! I love the game so far... but I'm stuck! i think I've exhausted every possible option so far.
I have:
talked to everyone and exhausted all possible conversation
gotten into chessboardland
gotten the hole-in-the-wall
gotten the fishing pole
gotten the nightshade
got the "lethal liquid" ingredient
read all the books in the bookstore
and picked up all other items that have come up
what is my next option? any hint would be appreciated, and please don't link me to a walkthrough b/c i don't want too much of a spoiler.

yes he did. However, the only conversation option i have with Ali is "Goodbye". Did I miss the trigger?
You don't trigger it in a conversation. You need to show him something.
You might want to explore the castle a little more as well.
