After watching episode 1 and 2 of Toegoff's Silver Lining LP, I'm convinced to give this a shot.
I've never really gotten into puzzle games, but what I've seen so far, I loved.
The music is mind blowing, (I'm a big fan of video game music. And you guys are top notch.) the story is both fun and exciting. Making you wonder what'll happen next. And I was happily surprised by the quality voice acting the game has!
Anyhow, 3 hours from now, I'll hopefully be able to play this game. :)

Very cool! Welcome to the forums ghoststalker, hope you enjoy your playthrough of the game too!
Hello and welcome ghoststalker! And cool, another fan of Toegoff's LPs! I've been enjoying watching them for a while, but especially of the TSL one lately!

In that case, I'm guessing you're the Katie he mentions now and then! Thanks for the warm welcome :)
Haha, yeah, that's me. I contacted him a while back and asked if he'd do what ended up being the "Let's Save TSL" video, which we really appreciated!
If you haven't played the other KQs and you like this, you should give them a shot as well.
especially 6. Amazing game, just about perfect in every regard IMO, and it takes place in the green isles, where TSL takes place so also a good starting point.
oh and welcome to the forums! hope you stick around, it's fun here.

You know, I might. King's Quest Collection is only 10 bucks on Steam.
Welcome, ghoststalker!
Remember, the King's Quest games aren't just about puzzles, they're about a great story, venturing to different lands, an exploration (hence they're adventure games and not simply puzzle games). Make sure you take time to enjoy the different places and the story, otherwise you'll miss out on a lot of what makes King's Quest and its ilk special.

Do a little research with those ones first, some newer systems have a tough time running the originals without tweaking via Dosbox or other patching. If you're concerned about that, maybe take a look at the ones over at Good Old Games (gog.com) as those are all modded a bit to be totally compatible with everything up through Windows 7.

This.
Now aside from KQ, I don't really play any other of these sierra style adventure games and am more of a puzzle game kinda guy (Myst, Riven, Rhem series, Riddle of the Sphinx FTW), but the whole story+puzzles and just everything make the king's quest games really.... magical. I love them. I Haven't played any other sierra games extensively. I think I have one of the space quests and I have played the QfG2 remake but that's about it.
The whole story and fun gameplay of KQ is what makes me such a big fan.
You really should try them, atec. Space Quest is the only one I can speak for out of the major ones, but it's loads of fun, and I imagine the rest are equally as enjoyable. Since the collections have come out, now is a great time to get into them.

I might.
I did like the QfG2 remake..... and I have one of the space quests as I said...I don't remember it though. I might have played it years ago. I will try it.
King's quest is amazing, and I would like to see some of roberta's other work.
Or, you can also take a look at the summaries (http://www.postudios.com/blog/?cat=19) we posted of earlier King's Quest games on our blog. :) (page down to start at the first game!)

of course, nothing beats playing and beating them all first hand.
