It's finally October! And if you're like me, you freakin' love Halloween because costumes and candy are awesome. :)
So share old Halloween costumes & pictures, tell us what you'll be dressing up in this year, talk about candy you love, etc!
I LOVE candy corn, and here two previous costumes of mine. One is Codex from The Guild, and the other is Ron Weasley (with one of my best friends dressed up as Harry Potter).

I don't remember the last time I dressed up for Halloween, so I'll post a picture of Benjamin from last year. :D I don't like candy corn, but I'm a big fan of Snickers!
I love candy corn as well, despite its origins (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8yuvMsvNqY).
Warning: b-word at the end. :-\
Rofl. I'm not a big fan of Lewis Black's usual extreme enthusiasm, but that was admittedly very funny.
Very cute, Stephen!
I don't think we're going to dress up for Halloween this year unless we wear our Ren Fest costumes. But candy corn is my favorite Halloween candy! I allow myself one bag a year to snack on during October, and that is it!
I've never dressed up for Hallowe'en before, or gone Trick-or-Treating.
Stephen, adorable :)
Mango--wow, really?
I used to like Halloween, but now that I'm an adult, I guess I've lost interest in it. I don't even like giving out candy. I consider myself the Scrooge of Halloween. I might go out to a party with friends, but I don't dress up.
There was one year where we bought 3 bags of candy for the Trick-or-Treaters and not even one person came to our door. I later found out that it was because my neighbors' were having a Cul de sac Party out on the street, so it kind of formed a "road block" for the Trick-or-Treaters. >:(
I don't do Halloween anymore but exactly one week after is our Renaissance faire, which me and my friend are die hard fans of. This is one of the costumes I dress up as. Last year I was Robin Hood and my friend was a Scotsman, kilt and all. We sat at the Kings and Queen's court eating huge turkey legs as they talked to us about the time period dress and habits.
The queen pointed us out to the audience and said we would be considered barbarians and not wanted around. I need to find a picture of that one. :D
Halloween is awesome. Last year I went to a party with a friend and his wife and we were the Venture Brothers (she was Triana). I was Hank, kerchief and all. Back my first year of grad school I went to another party as Puma Man, if anyone here has seen that Mystery Science Theater episode. No one got it. I would have been sad, if my costume wasn't so rockin'! No pictures, unfortunately.
The funniest part about Lewis Black and the worst thing about Halloween is that I do that too EVERY YEAR. Even though I talk about how I do it every year, and every year I say "I remember now, that it's October, that I don't like candy corn so I'm SURE I won't try to eat it this year...."
And then I come face to face with it and it's all "oooh! It's candy but it's corn! Nom nom no--SON OF A!!"
It's not candy OR corn. It's drek!

Yeah... We never really did the whole "Hallowe'en" scene (save for carving a pumpkin as kids for a few years). Nor do any of our neighbours, given that we're had two trick-or-treater groups to our house in the last twenty years (and one of those groups was teenagers in hoodies looking for free handouts).
I have to admit that I actually love candy corn. But only in October. Any other time and I realize it tastes terrible. But in October, it's just so sweet and wonderful and I can nibble at it, eating it one segment at a time until I go into diabetic shock.
The other Halloween snack is pumpkin seeds. I love those. Just bake them with some salt and I'm happy. I'll down pumpkin seeds by the handful.
We bought candy corn yesterday, but I think it was a store brand...it tasted horrible! I need name brand and I need it now!!!
What exactly is candy corn, anyway? Is it what it says on the label?
I've never seen Easter candy corn until now:
Yummy...candy corn!

What does it taste like?
It tastes like gross.
Because "gross" is now a noun.
Shut up. :P
I don't know offhand whats in it, but it has a honey-like taste, at least to me. :)
Agreed! Honey definitely :)
Yeah, it's kind of a mixture of a synthetic honey flavor and pure sugar. I'm kind of craving it right now. October is working its magic on me. One thing I've never really understood about candy corn though is that it looks nothing like corn. Maybe the one yellow end looks like a kernel, but since when does any corn actually look like that? It doesn't look like corn, it doesn't taste like corn, it's like its own entity.

I think it's cause "Autumn-colored cones" didn't have that much of a ring to it. :P
Actually, the "corn" may be in reference to the ridiculous amount of corn syrup that is used to make the candy corn.
This thread should be marked as "INAPPROPRIATE FOR ALL AUDIENCES."
Candy Corn is just obscene...
It doesn't even LOOK tasty, let alone the fact it tastes like Crayons mixed with sugar!
Well, that's just my opinion. ;D
(BTW, let's not talk about how I know what Crayons taste like). :P

I ate a few crayons in my younger days. What I really like is Indian Corn, with chocolate. It has more texture in my opinion.
Someone should dress up as a KQ character and post pics.

Ooooh! Ooooh! We should each dress up as a character, all of us! *High five!*
I reserve Cassima.
That would be amazing if by some miracle we could get the whole board to be KQ characters. If I went out on the town as Graham or something... people would have no idea who I was...
But I'd be happy.
TSL-GAME PRESENTS: COSTUME CONTEST.
Prize: Free TSL-Game. :P
I like/support this idea.
Me too!!! C'mon mods, make this official! :pumpkin:
But the game is free already.... :P
Well, the prize doesn't have to be the game, obviously, but it could be something awesome like the Suffer Lining mousepad. :)
You asked for it, you got it!

Good idea. It's so nice to have a game company that's so directly responsive to its fanbase.
Thanks soon! We love having close ties with our fans. You guys are why we're here after all! :)

Thanks soon!
You're welcome, later! But seriously, you guys are great.
LOL, and I really did spell your nickname right, but looks like my iPhone had other ideas :P
Oh, I see. The autocorrect in iOS has been problematic for me as well.
It's Halloween weekend...so let's see some pictures of costumes!
Here's one of some of my friends and I. I'm the one on the far left with the blonde and pink wig. :)

It took a good 10 seconds of looking at that picture to accept that it was actually you on the left. Almost unrecognizable!
