Title: Insanely wonderful chats. :D
Post by: Deloria on October 15, 2010, 02:41:17 PM
I just had a wonderful conversation with my even more wonderful boyfriend that I decided I had to share. :D

Katharina says:
http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/2009/07/im-guessing-they-didnt-have-matching.html Scroll down.  :P
Lenin cake!!   XD
Life-sized Lenin cake! :D
Jamie says:
OH JESUS f***!   :futuristic:
Katharina says:
XD XD XD
Jamie says:
It's...
Katharina says:
I thought it was amusing.  :P
Jamie says:
I thought the rat was bad enough XD
Katharina says:
XD XD
Jamie says:
It's also made even more weird by the fact that somewhere in Red Square, Lenin is actually lying there just as he is in the cake.
And that someone's eating the cake   :S
Katharina says:
Yes.  :P
Except that Lenin is decomposed and not edible.  :P
Jamie says:
It almost makes you think, "What if they got them mixed up?"
  XD
Katharina says:
  XD XD XD
Jamie says:
He's not decomposed!!!!  :P
That's the point!
Katharina says:
No?  :P
Jamie says:
If they keep cleaning his fingernails every six months or so then he will stay mummified FOREVER!!!
Apparently.
Katharina says:
Wait, what? XP
Jamie says:
I saw a documentary on it.
Katharina says:
Why?  XD XD XD
Are they going to clone him?  XD
Jamie says:
They have to do maintenance work on him every few months  XD
Katharina says:
  XD XD XD
Jamie says:
But he's Lenin!  XD
Katharina says:
That is so ridiculous. XD
Jamie says:
XD XD XD
Katharina says:
Yes, and he died almost 100 years ago.  XD
Jamie says:
I know  :P
I do like the idea of waking him up again, though  :P
Katharina says:
You wouldn't be "waking him up again"  :P
If you cloned him, it would still be a different person with a different upbringing and different views on society. :P
Jamie says:
Well, not if you cloned him.
Katharina says:
Personalities aren't chemical. :P
Jamie says:
True.
Yes, I know.
BUT
Katharina says:
Think of his internal organs.  :P
Jamie says:
Hmm, true  :S
Maybe they could be replaced?
Katharina says:
His brain?  :P
Jamie says:
CYBORG LENIN!!! :P
Sorry  XD
Katharina says:
XD XD XD  XD
Jamie says:
Yeah, his brain's probably not doing very well.
Katharina says:
Indeed  :P
Jamie says:
I do like the idea of an army of Lenin-clones, though  :P
Katharina says:
You can grow other organs.  :P
but probably not the brain.  :P
Jamie says:
True!  :P
Yes  :(
Sad  :(
Katharina says:
He'd also have to relearn everything and be brought up again if you did that. :P
So cloning him would make more sense.  :P
Jamie says:
True  :P
Katharina says:
In which case he'd still have a completely different worldview and upbringing and grow up in a completely different society. :P
Jamie says:
He can rule Russia :P
Katharina says:
So can I!  :P
Jamie says:
Yes  :P
Katharina says:
Whose side are you on? :P
Jamie says:
You can marry clone Lenin! :P  And I can be your consort  :P
This is very messed up  XD
Katharina says:
My boyfriend wants me to marry someone else.  :P
This is so wrong.  XD XD
You know, if you don't want me, there are easier ways to go about getting rid of me than cloning Lenin, turning him into a cyborg and getting me to marry him. :P
Jamie says:
  XD
Katharina says:
I hope you realise that.  :P
Jamie says:
I refute that!  :P
Katharina says:
XD XD
Ok, what's your argument?  :P
Jamie says:
Plus, I really want to see clone-cyborg Lenin :P
Katharina says:
  XD XD
Jamie says:
IT WOULD BE SO COOL!  XD
Katharina says:
It would.   XD
Jamie says:
It would be like all those really bad "Soviet Russia is land of cyborgs and space-cigars and mind-controool."
films.
Katharina says:
but presumably/hopefully, you don't want your girlfriend to be his?   XD
  XD XD XD
Jamie says:
XD  No, not really
Katharina says:
Please value me? <3
Jamie says:
I'm just allowing you to marry clone Lenin for power  :P
Katharina says:
No selling me off to cyborg-Bolsheviks? <3
Jamie says:
I wouldn't sell you off!  :P
I'd just allow you to insinuate yourself into them if you wanted to  :P
Katharina says:
XD XD XD
Jamie says:
After all, you do want to rule a nation  :P
Katharina says:
Yes.  :P
I love Russia. :D
Jamie says:
As do I  :P
Katharina says:
Their language needs to be reformed though.  :P
Jamie says:
I would love it more if it had cyborgs, though  XD

A Lenin cake? Sounds like promotion of cannibalism to me.

I've never seen such dense usage of emoticons.

You two are adorable.  I love it when couples talk about world domination.  Wait, you just want Russia.  Well, would it be "First Russia, then the world"?

At least you're not cloning two Hitlers.

I already have the UK and the HRE. :P Russia seems like the next logical step.

Everyone wants to take over the earth. Why doesn't anyone try to take over Chia-Earth? :P

Why would we limit ourselves to Russia? There's no reason we should sell our domination abilities short :D Who knows how far we can go with a Lenin clone? ;)

Oh, and hitler clones are so old hat. It's like you're not allowed into the Evil League of Evil without cloning at least two hitlers.

Having said that, I don't think we want the *whole* world. They can keep Slough, maybe.

I'm staying out of countries that have tonal languages and art deco buildings. :)

Who wants China and Vietnam? :D

Why all this talk of taking over countries? What's wrong with respecting national autonomy?

Well, Deloria's natural place in society is in a Baroque palace overseeing her adoring public, so we need to conquer some European states to get her there ;)

What a silly question. :P Idiots can't govern themselves. :P All this nonsense about democracy is really quite preposterous (and, living in a country where people vote on whether or not to vote, I know this first-hand). :P

So by being born into royalty, a factor one has zero control over, one is no longer an "idiot", but instead destined to lead? That's preposterous.

Yes, yes it is. BUT I'd much rather live there with you than a cyborg-Lenin clone. :P

Like Attic, you mean? :P That's a difficult one. *sighs* I'm very torn. I'm opposed to the concept in general, but that would also mean not getting a considerable portion of Europe. :( I'll have them, but things will have to change. :P

Long running inside-joke for the court... though royalty and idiocy are not mutually exclusive. :P

Perhaps, but to be fair, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government, either. ;)

Look, accents should stay where they are in the nominative singular. XP Jumping around on the last three syllables for fun is nothing but sadism and xenophobia in action. ;P

XD XD

Actually, they do have very predictable patterns given of course that one knows where they started (ie- in the nominative singular uncontracted form). That was always my problem: I could never remember where they started... silly little blighters. ..and then there are the circumflexes... as Rabi said of the muon: "who ordered that!?" :P

I know. XP When I remember a word, I don't remember where the accent is. Also, there are words that look exactly alike but have different accents. ::) Alla and alla, tis and tis etc. :P Very annoying.
