I just finished episode 1 and I must admit I was taken by surprise. The quality in all aspects of the game were well above my expectations. Cut-scenes and camera angles were well polished, voice acting was great -- in particular Graham's voice is perfect, exuding an articulate and affable personality. I was also impressed by the writing for both character dialogue and narration alike. The myriad descriptions for environmental objects do a superb job bringing the Isles to life.
It was nostalgic walking about the Isles from King's Quest VI, now fully rendered in 3D. I know graphics are not up to par with current commercial games -- most noticeably character models in cut-scenes -- but those shortcomings are easily forgivable after all the detail put into environments, such as the sky and weather, and facial expressions.
My only gripe was that it was sooooo short.
Thanks for episode 1 and keep up the good work.
P.S. Although Roberta Williams has been identified with the King's Quest series, I believe that Jane Jensen deserves a thanks/dedication in futures episodes as well. King's Quest VI was my first game I ever played and has been my favorite in the series for it's story. Comparing other King's Quest (KQ) games with the Gabriel Knight series, I think it is obvious that Jane Jensen had a major impact in KQ VI's story, with extensive research in ancient mythologies. KQ may be Roberta's baby, but I think Jane made it for what it is remember for.
Don't forget to play Episode 2 as well!
Thanks razor! Welcome to the forums. And yes, do play Episode 2 as well--it's longer than Ep. 1, and there's more puzzles, conversations, locations, etc. :)
LOL, the title mislead me for a second., at first I thought Jane Jensen has played EP 1, and left her opinion, LOL.

TOTALLY! I've been a huge fan of Jason's voice for Graham since I played the demo. He IS Graham, hands down. :)
Welcome, razor!
