Good day,
I am in search of the Journal Specials, y'know the ones that were labeled "So you want to be a game developer?" or something to that effect. In particular, I'm looking to find out information about your collaboration software that you are using in order to keep a team full of people across the nation/globe. I remember a Journal Special that went into some detail about the planning stages and I think this information would be useful.
So, if the Journal Specials are still available, where might I be able to view them? If not, can you at least give me some insight into what software you are using?

When Activision sent out their Cease and Desist, we were asked to remove all TSL related material from our website. Unfortunately, this also included the journal specials. As of right now, they are currently unavailable in any official form.
As for software we're using, that I can tell you pretty much right now. Skype gets a lot of use and comes in quite handy. We use Redmine to track bugs, and we send a lot of e-mails as well. Someone from Production like Brian may be able to tell you more. These are three main ones I know of, but I'm absolutely positive there's more. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
Hmmm. I feel like Redmine is the one that was in the Journal Special that I'm thinking about. I am working on a project with a few friends that would benefit from some project management for people working remotely from one another.

We also use TortoiseSVN to synchronize files across team member's computers.

Useful tool, Subversion. Getting to grips with GIT, here.

Wow - they even have SVN server for Windows! (Most of us only use the client.)
