I think Her interactive is going to be releasing a Hardy Boys adventure in the future; they already have numerous Nancy Drews. I played one of them and it was a pretty great game :)

If I had to pick one off the top of my head, I'd say the Hardy Boys(think Nancy Drew books, only with two teenage brothers as the main characters instead). You could make a two-player Adventure game out of those. ;)

There is already a series of Nancy Drew mystery/adventure games out. Number 12 just came out. And, sometime in the next few months, there's supposed to be another one, but it's going to include the Hardy Boys, "Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon."

I knew about the Nancy Drew ones(and tried two of the games. Decent... but I'd rather read the books than play the games ;P ).

I was hoping they'd start making a Hardy Boys one(The Bobbsey Twins would make a VERY weird Adventure game, so I doubt they'll ever make one of them), but I didn't know they planned to. So thanks for the info. :)

Just hope they base it on the original series(which I'm sure they will), or that thing could end up like a mini-GK game. ::)

From the sound of it, they're basing it on a couple of Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys' Supermysteries that have been written. I think it's Copper Canyon Conspiracy and Mystery Train (both books which I have :P).

I was guessing they'd be based on the the NancyDrew+HardyBoys books... but since I haven't read them(what little I've read, seemed poor compared to the old standard), I'll assume they're more like the "happily ever after" endings of the old books, instead of the "she died... :'(" style of the later ones(I was referring to the drasticly different style of the stories, not so much the books themselves).

Well, I liked the Hardy Boys+Nancy Drew books. :P Though I guess I did like the only Nancy Drew books better. I've only played two of the games and they didn't run very well.

I didn't care for Secret of the Scarlet Hand nor Curse of Blackmoor Manor, so I wouldn't recommend starting with either of those. I love Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, Message in a Haunted Mansion, and The Secret of Shadow Ranch. Of course, you can start with any of the games, but don't start with SSH or CUR...SSH was Aztec-like and if you can remember the names and stuff of the different Indians, then you're fine. CUR had quite a bit of voodoo type themes, and I just don't care for that at all.
