Which cell phone do you use and like and which service do you like.  I originally had T-Mobile but now use Verizon Wireless which I found has better coverage in the United States.  I use an LG phone.

I have a Motorola V235 phone that I like. We have Suncom though, and I do not like them >:(. I'm trying to get my parents to switch providers when our contract runs out.

I also have an LG phone but it's Cingular. My family doesn't really like our phones, so I think when we're allowed to change phones, we all will.

My mobile phone is a Motorola E1 and it has iTunes. I'm currently with Telstra but was previously with Optus.

I have a Samsung phone with the T-mobile service. I don't have a plan really, I use phone cards I buy every six months or so. I don't use my cell phone TOO OFTEN like it seems like most people do.  :P

Maybe I should do that when I'm paying for my own service. I don't use it all that often either. :P

I usually use my cell phone just for calling people too but sometimes I text message which is okay for me but not that great in my opinion.  One friend that I have who is Jon is really difficult to get a hold of unless I text him to his cell phone.

I actually got a new cell phone a couple months ago.  It's a Sony Ericsson and my network is Fido. 8)

Recently I have continued to get a call from I guess an international call ---- the number displays on my LG cell phone handset as having 12 digits --- Verizon Wireless says they cannot block individual numbers
The thing is I can block all incoming calls with my cell phone or limit it to contacts only but I want to receive all calls just not from this number.  I have already let the individual know not to call but he speaks Spanish and although he said he understood me I am not sure of that.  I already let the police and Verizon Wireless know about it.  Anyone have any other ideas short of changing my cell number (not an option) or limiting my incoming calls to contacts only which I will do at night.  I would rather not have my minutes used up by this individual.  Thanks in advance for all of your help.

You could try asking Verizon to block all incoming international calls.  They should be able to do that.

Otherwise, ask someone that speaks Spanish how to say "You've got the wrong number, please do not call here again." :P  Actually... once Cesar comes home from work, I could ask him how to say that. XD

XD Babelfish says this:

Usted tiene el número incorrecto, no llama por favor aquí otra vez.

I know limited "Espanol" so it looks fine to me. However, Babelfish is no Cesar.

EDIT: I ran it through Babelfish Spanish to English and this is what it said: "You have the incorrect number, does not call please here again."
So, it seems like it'd work, but as I said Babelfish is no Cesar.

Thanks for all the ideas.  Verizon Wireless seems hopeless with this case.  They say all that I can do is get a new number or just not pick up the cell phone.  They say they cannot block one number or even international calls.  It seems like the cell phone makers will have their work cut out in making new cell phones.  I have heard that internationally the cell phone service is much more advanced which is interesting.  In the U.S. --- Verizon Wireless uses CDMA while the rest of the carriers use GSM which is the international standard --- it is amusing that Verizon has their own standard.  BTW, what can cell phones do internationally.  I have two friends that bought international cell phones and use them here in the U.S.A. but I did not have a chance to play around with the international cell phone.  Thanks again for all the responses and future responses.

Any thoughts from anyone about analog and how it is useful but not secure.  In addition, how about Bluetooth and insecurity with this connection.  Finally, how about cell phone viruses and other issues.  The following web-link are some tips to keep us at least in the U.S.A. and the tips may be helpful to others in the world about keeping safe on our cell phones.

Well, they gave me a new silver cell phone --- another LG phone.  Hopefully, this one will work better than the last LG cell phone.
