I think they're saving that one for the sequel. :P

9 and 1/2 of three quarters of a Corridor.

The Epic sequel.

Please let that be the actual title of any potential sequel!

Corridor 9 & 3/8ths 1/2  of  3/4s

[It really needs double strike  :-\ b/c it's a fraction... or a big red X that looks like it was slapped on with the 3/8ths then in the same style... meh... I tried]

I  think this engine would be a good choice for making Corridor 9.

There's also this one.

What's AGDS4? There's nothing to download except the manual....what a tease!

I noticed that too, I haven't contacted them yet as I can't devote any time to studying the Engine right now. If you are interested in the product, it might be an idea to email them and find out when it will be available.

Weldon mentioned this before, so I think I can repost this: We're actually moving away from Torque and moving to Unity. We've (read: weldon) pretty much fallen in love with the engine, and it makes ports to all sorts of other platforms very smooth. So for Corridor 9 and any other future projects we have, we're very likely to be moving forward with Unity.

I'm interested to see how this will work. They've had to do lots of custom modifications to the Torque engine's source code. Supposedly, that's not necessary with Unity. It's possible to get a source code license if necessary, but I'm guessing it's not cheap.

I haven't seen any builds in unity yet, so I can't vouch for how well the engine works. But I trust Weldon. If he believes in the engine, then so do I!

Oh, I'm not questioning the decision. I've heard a lot of good things about Unity, and there are some commercial games that were developed in it. I downloaded it and have played around with it a bit. They have a game that's semi-made and instructions for putting it together. So far, I've realized that I'm not very good with the interface. It took me a couple of hours to move the character from one end of the scene to the other. :P

Also, I found it a little odd that the walking area is in the xz plane - I would have expected it to be xy.

Unity is probably going to be the industry standard and it has its uses with flash which will be helpful to me. Torque 3D still beats it. The next step up from TGEA with the Silver Lining should be Torque 3D. Plus, Unity takes you back to somewhat normal coding methods and may take longer to learn the ropes for one used to torque.

Another interesting game Engine. From the makers of the valhalla games.

Wilco was pretty excited for Unity when we were at the GDC 2011. It looks pretty good, I also have another friend who's buying up tons of books for it.

It does seem like the next wave of the future.

Will there be any facehuggers, aliens or predators? Then again what about Freddy Kruger or would that be infringing on copywrite laws? ???

Any of those things would not be part of C9 if they happened. Well, at the very least, anything Krueguer-related would not be in C9, because yes, that would be under a copyright!
