The new character of Lieutenant, the female guard dog, is awesome and original. King Graham guesses she is related to Saladin, I think that the captain is her uncle. What do you think about?

I think our PR Manager did a fantastic job voicing her.

Haha, why thank you :)

As for the relation between her and Saladin, we never really say specifically what it is, so conjecture to your heart's content!

Katie, I call for a spin-off game where you try to find out her lineage! I'll start writing it XD

I think that she is captain's niece because it is a cute idea.  :) Saladin is her wise uncle, who teaches her to be a good and loyal guard, but he leaves that she makes her own experiences as soldier.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this but... doesn't anyone find it a bit odd that there's a distinct lack of strong female characters in the game? We do hear about Rosella's strength and ingenuity but she's asleep for the entire game so far; Valanice plays a small role in discovering Alexander in the episode 1 intro then becomes helpless and needs saving in episode 3, and Cassima needs help from Alexander and Saladin when writing any of her speeches. This guard dog lieutenant is the only female character who is portrayed commanding authority, and she's incredibly fussy, acting as the butt of a "health and safety is ridiculous!" joke and little more; the audience is expected to laugh at her.

I'm not saying POS are misogynists, that's clearly a ridiculous idea. And I guess that Edgar's helplessness can be compared to Cassima's, and that the married couples in the game are portrayed as being on an equal footing, so it's not like women are put down in the game. But... well, it just seems kind of weird that women seem to be submissive to or require the help of men, and that the one example which bucks this trend (the lieutenant) is there for comic relief. I don't want to offend anyone but, well, I couldn't help noticing.

I'm sure it's not intentional, it's just how the cards fell. And anyway, we will be getting another playable character in the end; maybe it'll be Valanice or Rosella.
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Absolutely it's just how it happened to fall out in these first few chapters. Believe me, if I had felt at all that the game was misogynistic, the guys would've heard some s*** from me for it! I think you'll find in the next two episodes that there is an increasing presence and strength shown by the female characters as well.

Oh absolutely, I never for a moment thought that anyone was making a point about gender. Plus POS employs lots of women and, although the female characters seem to be less active than the male characters, they're still portrayed in a good light. I just thought it seemed a bit odd.

Ah, excellent! I'm looking forward to it very much.

Personally I'm hoping to see more of Cassima in the upcoming episodes.  Now that I think about it, it is a bit bothersome to see her locked away, pining, and writing a speech.  It might be realistic to some degree, but she's also the Queen of the realm.  She's got to be out there, putting on a strong face for her people, even if she's hurting inside.

But it looks like we're going to see her speech next episode.  So maybe we'll see some strength.  Personally I don't think we will though.  Not because they don't want to write her as a strong character, but because they kept bringing up this speech, which seems to be building to something.  I think Cassima's going to get herself cursed pretty wicked hard by Shadrack in front of her kingdom.  She's going to step up to make the speech but before she does, Shadrack will appear and knock her into a coma just like he did to the twins and to Valanice.

Ariel, the Oracle, and the Dryad do some pretty important stuff. So does Fand, if she counts.
