Oh, that's such a blessing.  What a scary thing to go through, though! I'll be praying. :)

That's always true regardless of the day of the week. It's a good reason to be optimistic. I never thought about that.

When you've been covered in paint, shaving cream, feces, glue, and other such things every day for the past four years, you start to find any excuse to look ahead. ;)

THE GOOD: Jen's having her baby on Tuesday!

THE BAD?: I'm going to have the "worst migraine ever" that day, so I'll have to miss work.  Maybe even go to a hospital that day...too bad. :P

THE GOOD: I hear a golden retriever shuffling about in the hallway, doing her "abused puppy cry," which means that she grabbed something off the counter that she wasn't supposed to have.  Sigh.  I better go check on her...

THE INCREDIBLE: Baby Carson couldn't wait--as of April 28th, 2001, at 7:58 p.m., Jen (one of my best friends) is a mommy!  I've spent the better part of the last 48 hours with the two of them and I can't get enough of that 6 pounds, 12 ounces of baby boy! :sweetheart:

The good: Feeling pretty impressed with myself. Building a four section newspaper project from scratch in a week isn't easy. I completed 14 out of 16 I originally planned. But I don't think I'll be able to produce the two pages left to my expectations. Luckily it's in the same section so that section will be two pages instead of four.
The annoying: Still have a of finals work left for Tuesday.

THE GOOD: Round 2 of the day is about to start--grab your boxing gloves, toddler teachers! *Starts humming "Eye of the Tiger"*

THE BETTER: Hershey Kisses

THE BEST: I get to see Baby Carson tomorrow <3

THE GOOD It's Fake Tuesday for me, since I don't have to go work work on Friday! *Does happy dance*

THE BAD: I have to have a physical instead. :X

It's not really much of a pleasant feeling.  I don't know which way to lean--happy because I'm a "grown up" (:P), or sad because almost a quarter of my life is gone? *Sigh*

American females only live to around 81, so you're already around 30% done. :P

No worries...I'm about to hit 28. Twenty-four wasn't a big deal. Of course, my brother gave me a birthday card talking about how I was now a quarter of a century old. He had forgotten it was my 24th birthday and not my 25th :P

I know I'm not "old," per se, I'm just feeling down on myself. :( When my mother was 24 she was a grown-up--she had her own home, she had a grown-up job, and she was engaged.  I'm having one of those quarter-life crises, the "ohmygawdwhereismylifegoing?!"-type moments.  Please stand by for your regularly scheduled Haids. :P

If it makes you feel any better, it's not just you. There's been a trend of people taking longer to move out on their own and such. I didn't live on my own until graduate school (age 27), and I didn't get married until age 33. (And that was only thanks to eHarmony :))

I remember hearing on a commercial for an online matchmaking site that 1 in 4 (maybe 5) relationships start online. The times, they are a-changin'.

Thanks guys. :) I'm sorry I'm whining; the last few birthdays have made me all emo. ::) As a Christian I believe that God works in His own time, and that I'll hit all these milestones when He ordains it, not when I do.  I need to, as my sister would say, "Put on my big girl panties and deal with it!"

Anyway, thanks again for being sweet. <3 Somehow this forum always makes me smile!

Erik and I didn't go on our first date until I had turned 25 (I had JUST turned 25, but still. OH, and it was my first official date...I hadn't gone anywhere with any guy before then.) and married when I was 26 :) This is after my mom was engaged and married by 18 :P
