How is it that I am surrounded by such a loving online family? :) You guys have made me happy-cry more than once, and have definitely cheered me up on numerous occasions.  I can never say enough good things about everyone here.

Thanks again for cheering me on.  Much love to you guys!

I remember hearing on a commercial for an online matchmaking site that 1 in 4 (maybe 5) relationships start online. The times, they are a-changin'.
All of mine started here. :P I need a life. ::)

THE GOOD: I had a blast in Portland and came home with a bunch of goodies.

THE BAD: It's raining here and I don't want to go to work tomorrrroooooooooooooooow!

THE GOOD: I'll get to see my tods and friends from work, so it's all good.

The GOOD (because there is actually some): I think I am more or less done with the reading for my literature review.

The BAD: I have to write a 6 page progress report on my research to date... tables and figures expected (so that should cut down on it somewhat)
The BAD: I have to write a 10 page literature review on my field of study
The BAD: It's all due in 1.5wks.
The BAD: LaTeX. (I think the idea of figuring out how to use LaTeX is more or less what is robbing me of my motivation at the moment... honestly, why do I need to COMPILE a text document? Who thought this was a good idea?)

The GOOD: Those seem to be the maximum number of pages so as long as I come close to that, I should  be okay.

The BAD: keeping my College of Sciences Fellowship seems to be attached to doing well in this
The GOOD?: I've been told by more senior postgrads that 1) obviously your supervisor isn't going to come down against you on this and 2) the other person reading the reports is reading reports from THE WHOLE department so he's likely to just rubber stamp them all.

The BAD: my computer just hit the 12% battery life mark and I left the adapter (US to British) at home.

Good: Google Chrome has Angry Birds as an app. I'm happy about this since I don't have a fancy dancy iPhone (although I want one)
Bad: Clinical depression sucks

Bad: Clinical depression sucks
 It certainly does, but you're most definitely not alone in suffering with it!

THE GOOD: I'm organized!  My room is (mostly) clean!  I'M clean!! :D

THE GOOD: I just took a nice hot bath

THE BAD: I'm wide awake, and I should be asleep already... :wall:

THAT'S ME!! ALL THE GORRAMN TIME NOW! Then, add in the inability to get out of bed in the morning and lack of motivation and focus to work on my nearly 20 page research progress report due at the end of the month... at this point, I have expended more energy talking and thinking about it than actually WRITING IT!! >:( @self

The GOOD: I got the two pages of responses to questions out of the way last night.
The BAD: I still need: a 1 page plan of research for the next year (should be done by the end of the day if I would just get up, go into the office, and meet with my professor), a 6 page report on my progress from the first year (should be started by the end of the day), and a 10 page literature review (should be started immediately after that other thing gets done which hopefully would be by this weekend). ::)

Time to go into the office!

The VERY BAD: I've just been given two weeks' notice at work. No issues with the quality of my work; I'm just not efficient enough for them. :'( And this is just after we found out...
The GOOD: Apparently there is a sequel to Benjamin. Bun E. Abbott II! <3

Oh no Steve :( I've very sorry to hear that. That must be hard to swallow. Yay for expecting another little one, though. How far along is your wife?

The good: I'm downloading TSL on the newer computer to see if it runs better than on mine.
The good: Time to relax
The bad: Also can be too much time for the mind to wander

!!! Congratulations!  See, every cloak DOES have a silver lining! Keep us updated, and all the best to you and your sweet family. :)

THE GOOD: It's payday

THE DEPRESSING: All my money basically has to go to The Man ::)

THE ANNOYING: It's lunchtime and of course I'm not hungry--I ate four hours ago and still feel like I swallowed a cow.  Oh, the joys of having gastroparesis!

THE YAAAAAY: Three day weekend!

10 weeks. :) Wednesday was the first we knew of it, though. We mostly haven't told family yet, but they don't know about this site. ;)

Oh, wow!  So you only JUST found out.  Was she not feeling good and suspected that she might have a bun in the oven, or was it a total surprise?

She had said a number of times that if she didn't know better, she would think she was pregnant. Then her sister made her take a test.

Thanks!

She's doing pretty well, though she's been having a fair amount of nausea. About the only thing that appeals to her is peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. (She likes them when she's not pregnant, too.  :P)

The BAD: It's been a rough couple of days at work (emotionally).  :'(
The GOOD: Supportive friends. :D
