Hello, everyone...

I have a suggestion for the TSL developer team: I'm hispanic, but I can understand almost perfectly the english language... My mother loves all the episodes of Sierra King's Quest, thanks to her I love that series. She get in love of your game and She wants to play it, but the problem is: She doesn't understand the english language.

Can you make a multilanguage package (plus the spanish language) of subtitles and/or voices of the game?

Really, We wish that.

Thanks for your attention

Arkillian

I'm not part of the team, but would you give translations of the script if they could make a version of it with subtitles? I'm not sure what languages these guys speak. I know I only know Kiwi English (Queen's English)

KatieHal

We have some translations for multilingual subtitles going on right now, but admittedly, our higher priority is getting all of the game out in general. But yes, we do have work going on in that area right now. :)

Oh! That's great... I apologize now for the next thing I'll say... but... Can You make this as soon as possible? Really, my mom want to play the game, but is hard to be a simultaneous translator with she <<She's a nightmare... She's nuts LOL>>.

If You can tell me the remaining time until the launch of the multilanguage version... I need to calm down her!!! xD

Thanks for your quicker response. =)

KatieHal

LOL, I'm afraid I don't have an estimate for that right now, I'm sorry! Hopefully the translating in the meantime won't be too tough for you...it's great that she's eager to play the game, though! :)

Just curious - which languages are being worked on?

Nothing specific right at the moment - what we're doing right now is working on figuring out a way for people to easily patch in translations.  Once we do that we have several groups already in place ready to put the actual translation patches together.

Thanks.  I can see why you might want to release the whole game first - I imagine it will be easier to implement once you have a whole game and not a bunch of episodes.

We have a couple of translations going, if I remember correctly there is: Russian, Spanish, Italian, and I think there might be one more but I can't remember. They are coming along but as others have said, it is not a high priority and we don't have a way to bring them in just yet. Sit tight, they will come eventually.

glottal

Well if you ever want to translate it into Chinese, I'd be willing to help (though I would not do it solo - I am not a native speaker of Chinese).

If the Spanish or Italian teams need a hand, I'll do my best to support. My Spanish is much better than Italian, but I learn quickly. If a team wants to make a Simplified English subtitle set for the Deaf, I know American Sign Language, and its grammar - for word glossing to English.

Sslaxx

I am aware this would be substantially more difficult, but are there any plans in place for translating the speech? So (making a lot of assumptions here) non-English speakers could listen to King Graham and co in their native language?

Right now there aren't any plans to do this. Just the text.

glottal

Yeah, I figured that dubbing TSL in other languages is beyond Phoenix's current capacities.

Though if it were feasible, it would be cool.

Okay... I have a question... Do You want a friendly hand for make the spanish translation? Me and another hispanic user of this forum could review all the spanish translation you was made before compile the entire translation. If you are really busy with the making of the newest episodes, We can help you with the translation, or maybe make a contest with the users for see who can make the better translation in any language.

It's just an idea! ;)

I like that idea! 8)  Just Episodes 1-3; nothing new that would ruin the upcoming Eps for the team.
