Delling

She's chaotic good.

I'll be bored chaotic neutral. :P (It's that I am bored... not that I'm boring... the chaotically aligned are rarely boring).

As for a name for my character... err... let's go with... Dirwen. :P

Noli me tangere! Nescio ubi fuisti!
Don't touch me! I don't know where you've been!

Marquess of Pembroke
Duke of Saxony in Her Majesty's Court
Knight of the Swan for Her Imperial Highness

...resistance was obviously useless against a family that could invent italics.

Okay so our cast list should look like...

Good Guys:
Cassima = Haids1987
Unnamed Potentially Genocidal Good Somebody = Deloria (work on that "Unnamed" for us at some point :P)

Baddies:
The Father = crayauchtin
Elsa Valiash = crayauchtin
Renwick = I_am_so_nifty
Unknown = Darthkiwi

Indifferent
Dirwen = Delling

It looks like there are too many bad guys compared to good guys, so maybe I should be good to even things out?

I quite fancy being a bard. With a lyre and everything :D I can tell people folk tales to keep their spirits up or something. Not sure how that would translate to combat. XD

As for alignment... neutral good? Neither totally in league with the bureaucrats nor totally disregarding all laws?
Prince of the Aquitaine. Duke of York.

Knight errant and consort to Her Grace the Empress Deloria of the Holy Roman Empire, Queene of all Albion and Princess Palatine.

There's no reason not to be both.

Honestly, though, I'm kind of astonished no one wants to play anyone in the Royal Family! Too much pressure? If no one else is up to it, I'll try to take on Graham.

That would be appropriate. :P

You mean play two characters? I could, but I have very, very little time right now so I think one is the limit for the moment.

You can be in league with me. :P We can have a different agenda.

And I want to be called Deloria. :P I'll be a magic user/ailuromancer. :D

Holy Roman Empress
Queen of *all* Albion
Précieuse and salonnière! :D

Space! :D Extraterrestrium! :D Espace! :D

Delling

Aha... so that's why you asked about the ailuromancer... *still needs to write that short story at some point*

Yes! XD

Also, I assume my bard needs a name. How about Aethelgiedd? It's Anglo Saxon ;D
Prince of the Aquitaine. Duke of York.

crayauchtin

....can we get a nickname there as well? :P

Arkillian

I'd like to join! Since we have a Cassima, I could try as an Alexander- It only makes sense that Cassima has her husband beside her :) (Besides, I'm a serial genderbender in RP >.> ). Never played a character like him so I hope I can do justice :<

When's the RP starting? When you bad guys have plotted? And when in the time line is it?

crayauchtin

#55
Oh, Arkillian, that's excellent! We DO need an Alexander (and I'm a fan of gender-bending sometimes as well, as evidenced by my made-up pirate queen villain!)
I think we need a couple more good guys to even things out, so please tell your friends everyone!!

Since we don't know everything about TSL yet -- as much as I would love to do our RP in that timeline.... we opted to go with the AGDI timeline -- which everyone can look at it here if there's any questions. I know it isn't canon, but we were thinking (if I recall correctly) that it ties the stories more together and is very well-known in the fan community even though it isn't canon.
We did want to begin after KQ7 -- I think we wanted to not include MoE? (It's hard to recall since most of the voting on this happened just before the C&D!)

As for the plot, we've worked some things together but there's much more plotting to be done!

The idea is that the Black Cloak Society is basically launching an assault on the whole of the world -- seeing as how they keep being individually defeated, this makes a certain amount of sense. Here's what we've discussed:
--The Land of the Green Isles: Alhazred is in prison, not making too much trouble (until someone decides to play him anyways!) but Elsa Valiash, the Sea Scourge, (her bio is on the first page of this thread) is besieging the islands with her fleet of pirates.
--Kolyma is perhaps dealing with the repercussions of Caldaur leaving the organization, and we hadn't decided much else.
--Llewdor we thought probably had it's leadership replaced by a new Black Cloak member since Manannan's defeat.
--With both Manannan and Hagatha suffering from "feline afflictions" and with no human magic able to help them, we'd thought maybe they'd turn to fairy magic -- in Tamir.
--I_am_so_nifty's villain Renwick is attempting to create a base of operations in Serenia, so he can begin to take over that land as well.

Now when this thread began, we didn't know what the Item the Father was after was. KQ3 Redux revealed that -- but I'm thinking since it was like, what, a pair of hands from a statue? I think there's more to the Item. Perhaps it was broken into pieces and even though the hands were destroyed, the Father may still be looking for other parts. (I'm thinking, statue of Legenimor?)

I_am_so_nifty had mentioned the possibility that some baddies may be trying to resurrect some deceased baddies as well, so if anyone's interested in them.... feel free to speak up!

Anyways, our cast list:
Good Guys
-Alexander: Arkillian
-Cassima: Haids
-Graham: Cray
-Deloria: Deloria

Bad Guys
-The Father: Cray
-Elsa Valiash: Cray
-Renwick: I_am_so_nifty

Neutral Guys
-Dirwen: Delling
-Aethelgiedd: Darthkiwi

So, we actually are pretty even, aren't we? Shall we start then?

I am going to make a separate thread for in-character stuff, and we'll leave this one as out of character.

Deloria

Also, Deloria rules a small kingdom culturally and geographically similar to Bronze-Age Mesopotamia. :D

Holy Roman Empress
Queen of *all* Albion
Précieuse and salonnière! :D
"In cases of doubt about language, it is ordinarily best to consult women."-Vaugelas
Space! :D Extraterrestrium! :D Espace! :D

darthkiwi

Ooh, since I'm a bard how about my character sings an introductory poem which sets the scene? :D
Prince of the Aquitaine. Duke of York.

Knight errant and consort to Her Grace the Empress Deloria of the Holy Roman Empire, Queene of all Albion and Princess Palatine.

Delling

I only know 2 things:

1) I love the idea of Dirwen being in Serenia and having Renwick more or less as his nemesis. :D

2) Deloria's realm (needs a name, Deloria, dear :P) should be encountering some sort of attempted take over by the BCS.

All the realms should be -- that's the plan. Excepting Etheria, because if they can get to Etheria it blows my whole idea behind Tamir. :P
