Khaeon Gamestudio seems mostly focused on small mobile games and FP3 not the type to back a adventure  game series so can someone clarify this for me is it your project or theirs ?

KatieHal

It's both of ours. Khaeon approached us with some of the materials and asked if we'd be interested in writing a story for them and developing a game with them.

I just wast to make sure it will not suffer from the cancer that is casual or mobile markets?
Khaeon Gamestudio's company profile does not represent the adventure market as far is I can tell I would absolutely hate for them to limit your talents in anyway to conform to a market filled with mediocre content  hope that does not sound harsh

KatieHal

It does sound harsh, but I can see where you're coming from. Cognition will be an adventure game, not a casual market game. Though we want to bring it to the iOS platform, that's as a secondary goal to making it a PC/console adventure game first and foremost.

Think more along the lines of other adventure game ports to mobile platforms, like Broken Sword.

I'd also be hesitant to refer to casual or mobile gaming as a "cancer."  Casual games are a huge player in the games industry, with companies like Zynga bringing in really tremendous amounts of money.  Yes, we're planning to get Cognition out for PC and Mac very first, but it's going to be following that with ports to iPad and Android as soon as we can get them together.  These types of devices are perfectly suited to point-and-click style adventuring.

I call them a cancer because i hate  theem as for mobile id love to have the game on my iphone

I wouldn't even see how the collaboration would hinder Phoenix' progress. If Khaeon decides to help them with development in exchange for it being ported to the iOS platform, that would theoretically make the game better (whether it be for PC/Mac or iPhone/iPad). Is calling the casual market a "cancer" just because you don't like it warranted? I must agree, it sounds very harsh, and not justified considering we haven't even seen any work pertaining to a complete build yet.

It would hurt Phoenix's reputation if their first game were of poor quality. Knowing the team, though, I don't see that happening. And I'm pretty sure Jane Jensen wouldn't let her name be attached to the project if she didn't have confidence in the team(s).

I just want the best for the people I lobe so much you guys rock i just dont want someone to say cant do this "insert really cool adventure concept here"because we need to think of the casual or mobile market and so  far  Gamestudio's line up has consisted of titles such as Rivals spell born alpha black zero  most;y mmo and fps or fighting games for mobile xbox live  or  mobile not exactly a publisher of adventures

not exactly a publisher of adventures

Hence our involvement.  They have the experience with the market, we have the experience with the genre, plus we also have the most insanely awesome fans on the planet.
