*hugs* Thanks, hon ^^ Sorry it's taking me a while to reply. I'm trying to coordinate everything around the 2 weeks I have left to finish my comic. I'm starting to panic a bit to be honest. I've had your Let's plays playing in the background as I work though :D It's been great company (even though it's technically not company XD )

I'm glad you like my gallery though ^^ Alot of people view only my fanart and don't search the gallery. That's the legacy of online galleries though. No one has time to give the full appreciation that they can give an artist cause there's so much to look at. It's really good to have the rest of my art appreciated too :) So many artists complain that they get ignored when it comes to original art. DA is smothering like that though I guess :(

Thanks Doon  I've been around since (One of?) the first beta of TSL, back when it was called 'Kings Quest (9)- The Silver Lining', but there were the red tape battles and production stopped. When there was no posts on the DA site, I gave up on the game and moved on thinking 'At least they weren't too far into the game'. IT was VERY buggy back then- nothing like it is now. All polished an pretty  All you had was that scene after the wedding where Graham talks to Edgar's parents. You could go up the stairs and that was about it. I've improved alot in art since then though- I could only draw a few poses reliably. I'm alot more dynamic and consistent now, so it's probably for best. I wasn't ANY where near as good as the concept artists we have now (I'm still behind quite a bit even now >.> ), but thank you for the compliment  I'd much rather be a supporter anyway. I've recently had my artistic ego severely bruised by a so called friend of mine, and I'm still recovering from it >.> I don't know how I'd be having my art in a game if I didn't know it was the best I could do. I'm a perfectionist ^^;

I'm confused by this post. ??? Is this someone posting under a different account? Also, I removed your signature - advertisements aren't really appropriate for this forum. :)

I'm confused as well. I'm wondering, actually, if this is some new kind of spambot that copies posts made by other people so as to look legit.

Sure enough! It's a copy of a post by Arkillian.

Ooooh. Spooky.  :-\

I concure O.O Spambots are getting smart!

Still here btw... just REALLY busy and a bit over whelmed by life right now. I mean, I've made it official that I'm saving up for $10K surgery recently to correct my vision. I don't know how much this makes sense to people, but when you're considered in the top 1% of worst eye sight in your country, told your whole life that you'd never see perfectly, and suddenly it's completely doable with no risk? I'm... not sure how to handle it. I don't think I'll know how to react till I'm in the chair O.o I mean... I don't even know what my art looks like to the world. What if I don't like it? I'll have to relearn to draw! D:

KatieHal

I understand entirely, Arkillian. I had AWFUL vision and then developed chronic dry eye on top of it, which was aggravated by my contacts. I got LASIK in the summer of 2007*. The surgery itself was kind of terrifying, but it has been wonderful ever since having 20/20 vision. Completely worth it.

(*I remember because Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out the next weekend, and I did not let recovering eyes stop me from reading that thing as soon as possible! But holy crap, I can't believe it's almost been five years.)

Well, I'm going for a more advanced form- ICL Implantable contact lens. It'll give me better vision than laser will, and it's removable which is good for the glaucoma in my family. I also have very bad vision so it's the safest op. For someone that treasures her eyes above everything else though, this is a pretty freaky operation though O.o I may still have to wear glasses after for my crosseyedness too. I... have alot wrong. I can't wear contacts cause I'm cross eyed. I could wear daily contacts though if it weren't for that. They're hoping my crosseyedness will go away with surgery cause my eyes wont have to work as hard :)

KatieHal

Oh my. Well, I hope all goes well. I won't lie--even the LASIK surgery was terrifying. Just cause...dude, those are my eyes your poking around in! Gah! There's no way to not be scared about that. They gave me half a valium beforehand; I've never had it before, but I'm not convinced it helped at all, 'cause I was still tense and freaked out. There were even some unexpected things that happened during mine (we found out I had another condition that meant I really *should* have had a different kind of LASIK called PRK, but they adapted and everything was fine).

But if you've got good doctors, stress or no, you should come out of it just fine.  I hope I didn't make it worse...but I just don't want to say oh yeah it''s fine, no big deal, when yes, it is scary. But, these guys or gals should know what they're doing.

Well, this is the surgery that I'm getting (Youtube video of the procedure in a demonstrative format) so IT's probably even worse XD I might be ok with it though. I'm not use to contacts as such, but I picked up on putting them on my eye easily enough. It was keeping them on my eye and seeing through them that was the issue XD Looking at this procedure they're going to dilate my eyes so if yours required valium, I assume that I'll get a calming drug of sorts too since they're cutting into my eye.

I donno. The procedure it's self I'm not scared of. I'm actually fine with slicing weapons. It's piercing stuff I have issues with (spiders, needles...) but mostly on my left arm (got nerve damage trying to give blood, now it freaks out over injections. My right arm is fearless. IT's so weird). The part I'm worried about is post surgery. I... don't want to think about it cause I know I'll be a mess. I was with contacts, and this is permanent. I don't know how my mind will take in the idea of my world always being large, bright and colourful. IT's mind blowing. It's going to be  alife changing surgery for me- that's for sure :)

KatieHal

Wow. That's nuts. So...are you awake for this surgery? Or do they put you under?

Awake. They need you to be awake to monitor you. It's all painless surgery. It's the eye- it only has touch receptors. If it hurts, then they're doing something wrong :)

KatieHal

Creepy.

Likewise for LASIK. They put numbing drops in my eyes beforehand. aNd I couldn't see what they were doing anyways, really. I did vaguely feel something at one point and my eye twitched, which they saw, so they added more numbing drops and I was all set.

That would've been cause it felt like it was being tickled, not cause of pain. I suspect I'll get a fair bit of that too XD What ever it is, the results are MORE than worth it for me. I've just run out of options with glasses. IT'd be nice to have options again ^^ Whether I come out with perfect or truly perfect eyes is all icing on my cake. I'd be happy being as averagely bad as most glasses wearers are in this world. If I had a -3 prescription, I'd be SO happy. I'd have no interest in surgery if my eye sight was that good. It's only when I went past a -7 that my eye sight bothered me. Not being allowed wrap around glasses to me was the last straw *flips desk* XD

Enchantermon

So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Aww... that sucks... I must say however that this makes your artwork all the more impressive! (Not to suggest that it wasn't already.)

The idea of eye surgery weirds me out completely. :sweating:
