Well, I'll give people one and if they can't get it I'll tell them what it is :P

1) This game needs direction - literally.
2) Keeping everybody happy is a valuable skill.
3) You may not realise at first, but there's a slightly chilling subplot about female exploitation :s

Nope!

To be fair, this is more Interactive Fiction than adventure game... but it is really good! XD Which means I can point you all towards it if nobody gets it and you can all play it and like it.

Okay, I don't think anyone's going to get this. The answer is, "The Play", a recent entant in the 2011 IF competition :D

To be fair, it wasn't really an adventure game... but it is still sort of a text adventure, and a fun one at that :D

Okay, it has been a while since I played this game so I will give the best clues I can. (and sorry in advance if this game has already been done)
It should be easy enough to guess for someone who has played a fair number of adventure games.
Hopefully my clues are not too vague.

1.A murder mystery is afoot
2.Could it be the maid?
3.There are bees

4.It is part of a series of games
5.There is an evil bridge
6.The protagonist is female

Harvest Moon.

XD  Those are both hilarious... especially given that I initially misread "Harvest Moon" as "Sailor Moon". :P

Also, this does kind of sound like Hugo II wherein you play as Penelope.

QuoteThe protagonist is female

I noticed that to be a interesting trait in Adventure games. There actually are a lot of female protagonists in it.

As well there are a even wider variety of female protagonists then in any other genre. Do you want a sarcastic and sexy female protagonist who boarders on anti-hero? It exists. What about a intelligent down to earth middle aged woman? It exists. Ok what about a woman at least in her fifties in a dress who is also a mother? It exists. What about a pointless female character who is meant to be a foil and possible love interest for the other male protagonist? We got those too.

That is too easy though, lets go obscure... What about a Female protagonist... with a Boy's name... Who happens to be a gold fish? It exists! (Bonus points for anyone who can guess what game this is without looking it up)

Arn't Graphical adventures / Interactive Fiction / Point and Clicks grand?

Dang uhhh... that game... starts with a P.

No wait. That game has three protagonists.

Yep... I thought Freddie was a boy but apperantly not.

darthkiwi
