The GOOD: Entered a contest to win a walk-on role for a TV show today!
The AWESOME: Last season's winner supposedly is returning in a recurring role, so this is a good opportunity.
The BAD: Contest started two days ago, so I'm wayyyy behind on votes.
The SHAMELESS PLUG: You can vote for me riiiiiiight here: http://bit.ly/TAeUZY
:D :D :D :D

The GOOD: Feeling some better.
The GOOD: Mom's feeling some better.

Good: Leaving for a holiday trip Saturday
Bad: All the work to get there.
Good: I think my work with Phoenix might give me an advantage in this one job listing. We'll see.
Annoying: Flat chocolate chip cookies because I didn't realize the flour scoop I used was 1/2 cup, not 1. :P

BAD: Sore from clearing snow last night.
GOOD: Made it safely to work (1 1/2 hours in the van pool).
BAD: Work is closed. The door I usually go in is completely buried in snow (from drifting).
GOOD: Hanging out at my brother-in-law's office for a while. My wife may come get me in a while.

The best: Frands.
Good: The one good thing about not being able to sleep is how productive you become.
Bad: I may be dead exhausted by 6pm, or something. I can only hope.

Yeah, when I couldn't sleep this week, I was all "I should get up and do some work" but the office work I can do at home is mostly grading (rather than research). I didn't want to do that because I couldn't be certain that I could really focus/be fair and whatnot. Soooooooo, I wrote instead... which really put my brain into overdrive sort of--ALL OF THE IDEAS!!!--and thus had even less chance of getting to sleep.

My experience is that I become much less productive without sleep. That's not sleeping due to overwork, though. Maybe it's different with insomnia? I don't know - I haven't ever had that problem. :-\

I find it really depends on the level of exhaustion. When I'm exhausted due to lack of sleep and keep pushing myself, I move beyond exhaustion into a sort of euphoria and transcendent majesty in which I start feeling as though I have perfect clarity and have ALL TEH THOUGHTS. XD

Bad: I'm le tired. XD
Good: I have most everything done for tomorrow.
Bad: I have to get up at 5:30 on a Saturday to groom so I can present my paper at 9 after a two hour train ride. :(

~Hyperbole and a Half... So, now I'm going to work. *starts writing for about 30 solid minutes, feels a little tired, is torn between writing and sleep, tries sleep*" At which point "see above" comes into play. Fell asleep sometime after 4.

The good: Forum's looking good!
The bad: Body is still complaining from workout. But it can get over it because I want to be healthy
The reminder: I looked at my weight from last December. It makes me cringe. I will NEVER go back there.
The good: Interview roadtrip this week. Hoping snow won't hinder my travels.

Good: School starts tomorrow, at 3 PM to 8:20. I'm starting on a lower-level Math class this time, which I hope I can pass. Got everything packed (I only have three classes, and only one requires a book) for tomorrow.

Listening to my Likes on Youtube. y'know, I really should get back into the habit of reading/writing KQ5 with the soundtrack from the game playing. It helps me picture the scene better.

Bad: Writer's block SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS! Chapter 7 in KQ5 was something I was actually looking forward to writing and then, when I got to it, it turned out to be less spectacular than I'd originally concieved in my head and seems kinda... eh. But, I can't think of any ways to make the chapter better, aside from taking out one scene I'd shown to Delling before!

Gah... where's Sir Cray when you need him? I need encouragement from SOMEONE!!!

*thumbs up*

How's that?

I've been banging away my own fanfic in what spare time I've had lately. Shockingly NOT a sword and sorcery fanfic -- it's a Buffy fanfic.

And it's fantastic.
