I'm excited for the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic season 4 premiere on November 23rd!

Well...at least you have the courage to admit it, here on the Internet.

Ooh! And The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in December!

I'm cautiously optimistic about that one. The first Hobbit movie was a very mixed bag for me. I can go into detail in the "Good book to movie adaptations" thread if you want. Anyway, the trailers look okay, though the best parts are definitely the parts with Smaug himself. With that voice, he is literally a sexy beast. I'm not gay, but...wow.

Assassin's Creed 4. I'm so glad I upgraded my system last year: 6 core, 8 gb ram, GTX 660 video card.
I played the Battlefield 4 beta, it was ok, but I am more into story driven stuff.

I never played any of the Assassin's Creed games, though I've heard that the multiplayer was pretty amusing.

The only Battlefield game I played was 1942, but mostly just to mess around with my friends on multiplayer maps like Wake Island. I have fond memories of being on that aircraft carrier with a few buddies, throwing down a pack of dynamite right into the middle of them, looking up at them, yelling "Bail out!", and detonating it, sending us all flying through the air. Then I got kicked out of the server because my score went into the negatives.

Having my guy yell "Enemy submarine spotted!" on a desert map was pretty amusing too, at least the first time. Finally, I remember one time my friends and I had just disabled an enemy tank, causing it to burst into flames. I called out to my friends "I'll finish it off!" and ran up to the tank, stabbing it with my knife...which somehow caused it to blow the crap up, killing me instantly. Yep...those were good times.
I have no mouth, and I must scream.

Numbers, you're talking to the girl who is writing a KQ5 fanfic without having ever played a single KQ game, fan remakes and TSL aside.

Besides, I admitted it months ago on the What Are You Doing? Thread.

Okay, here's my two cents (for the penny that it's worth  ;D )

I am looking forward to (in no particular order):

1. Obduction -- it's the newest kickstarter from Cyan. Hopefully it will get funded, they're about 2/3s the way to their goal. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cyaninc/obduction

2. GK1HD -- This is going to be awesome, if the voice acting supports the fancy new graphics. (I hope they get another narrator like the first. It reminded me of my Cajun grandfather.) (Although personally, I was hoping for a Gray Matter 2 for Mystery Game X.)

3. Moebius -- Anything with Jane Jensen's magical creative pixie dust sprinkled all over it is worth a look.

4. The Silver Lining Episode 5 -- I have been waiting for that magical day when pigs take flight and Houston freezes over which will also be the same time that episode 5 comes out. (I'm not saying that it's a far-off dream, either. Two years ago, we did have an ice storm in Houston and it did freeze over, and pigs can fly if you shoot them from a cannon.    ) (Okay, so, I'm feeling a little goofy today.)

5. Finishing my novel -- Which at this point seems like a pipe dream that is more elusive than trying to catch sunbeams in ones hands.

6. The Hobbit Part 2 -- I, too, am awaiting this movie this winter. I found the first to be a poor adaptation of the book, but it was a good enough movie to stand on its own.

7. Santa Claus Conquers the Martians -- Yes, this is a real movie that will be riffed live in theaters on December 5 by the guys from Mystery Science Theater 3000. And I thought that Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny was an affront to all that is good and Christmasy. I guess I was wrong.

I've been REALLY busy working on our game, but I did manage to read Doctor Sleep by Stephen King - the sequel to the Shining.  Really great read - just a real page burner.  I read it in a couple of days.

I've heard really good things about that book. Basically, I've heard that it's how you're supposed to do a horror sequel--different enough that it's not retreading old ground, but not so different that it's completely disconnected from the first. And considering how iconic the first one is, it's frankly amazing that Doctor Sleep wasn't completely panned upon its release.

I hope to check out Quest for Infamy once I've finished playing through all of the QfG games as all of the different classes.

By the way, how is Kingdom of Sorrow coming along? Hopefully it won't be on the backburner for too long. I'm excited to play it for the same reason that I was excited to play KQ2+, which is that it's like a whole new entry in the series. I like the KQ remakes and all, but there are only so many liberties you can take with them without pissing off the purists. That's why I loved KQ2+--it didn't care about established canon, it just merrily went its own way with the story. The original KQ2 was never a particularly fun part of the series regardless.

I agree wholeheartedly, Numbers.

I personally love KQ2+ and KQ3 Redux. I wasn't exactly the biggest fan of their KQ1 remake, since it basically prettyfied the EGA remake (as if it didn't look nice enough), added voice acting (Josh Mandel for instance) and character portraits, and added one new death scene (try using the Carrot on yourself when you're near a cliff and the goat is with you).

Other than that? Pretty much the same as the EGA remake.

They could have done so much more with that remake, but they didn't.

Rosella

I second the question about Kingdom of Sorrow. I never got into the book (despite owning all 3), and I'm still really interested in you guys' adaptation of it. Of course, I'm excited about Quest for Infamy as well, and I put money toward that one, so maybe my excitement is misplaced. :P

As for me, I'm looking forward to, um, surviving fall semester.

And also MAGFest!

I think all the games I care about either came out already or aren't coming out for a few years. XD
I'm a princess even if my kingdom is pixelated.

It's funny how you find you enjoy your life when you're happy to be alive.

I've actually been so distant from the next games coming out. I don't even know what games to expect from any console right now lol

ThunderChild

I still occasionally lurk around here, been busy with my own company which takes a lot of my time. Can't complain either, since I've recently attracted my 8th employee and that for a company which is a little over five years old . . .
It seems totally incredible to me now that everyone spent that evening as though it were just like any other. From the railway station came the sound of shunting trains, ringing and rumbling, softened almost into melody by the distance ...

Yea, seems like many are busy. I still come here, check it out. Still waiting on that last episode. This "adult" era is no joke, half the people I know are MIA. Anyways, I digest. Back to the Sopranos... I'd love to have a Sopranos group discussion, but I can't talk about it without being entirely inappropriate. Every other word is @#$!.
