Thundercats rocked --- Lion-O with the sword of omens
My favorite episode was when Lion-O went against the sword of Excalibur and even though Excalibur was stronger --- good prevailed in the end because Excalibur could not be used for Mumra's evil purposes -- btw I wish family home entertainment or whoever now has the rights to them would release the whole series on DVD for sale -- I would definately buy them
:> :> :>  Yeah I know that I am a 7 year old at heart

Man, the eighties were the best. I love classics 80s rock music (shame, shame, shame ;]. lol ;P).

And I loved My Little Pony and Care Bears. They're so cute :)

Any reason why someone that never lived in the eighties, can't post here?

Jael

Well . . . I was only four when they ended, so I don't see any problem :)

The reason I asked was in case somebody wanted to post, that wasn't around during the 80s.

Im was two when the 80s ended :o

I don't see why someone who wasn't born yet in the 80s couldn't post if they wanted to. :) Heck, I wasn't around in the 60s, but I still like "oldies" music, so someone not around in the 80s could still like 80s stuff.

Although, the oldest someone not born in the 80s could be is 14... do we have anyone here other than Rosella who's that young?

Peace & Luv, Liz

Father Ghostface was younger but he hasnt been here for ages :-\

I bought a Classic 80's collection from Time Life at Costco with three cds for $37 and now I am rocking and rolling in my car to the 80's all the time.  Oh Yeah!! Life is Awesome!   ;D

This looks like a good thread for a trivia game.

What video game platform, was my avatar first released on(video game platform=anything that would play this game)?

dew7

The first place that I saw Dragon's Lair was when I was young in the arcade where it cost 50 cents as compared to 25 cents for other games.

Yeah, that's it.

Although, I haven't been around long enough, to have seen one of those arcade machines.

The first time I played it, was in a DOS port. The best thing about it, the price(it probably would have cost me a few hundred $, to play thru it at the arcades).

I don't think Time Warp(2nd in the series) was released for DOS, but I'm considering buying the DVD version.

P.S. For those wondering, I recently tried getting Dragon's Lair working in XP, and it's giving me a lot of trouble. That's why I've mentioned the game a few times on the forum, I'm starting to get VERY annoyed with the inability to play the good/old games in XP.  :(

dew7

I was never very good at Dragon's Lair but I did not try hard enough to become good.  The compatibility issue is another reason to have a dual-boot of 98SE and XP on your computer.  It just makes sense.   :D

QuoteIt just makes sense.

That it does.

I was just wondering LN if the original Dragon's Lair was your favorite or did you prefer a sequel?

Not counting cost, I'd say the original's my favorite. I've never played Dragon's Lair 2: Time Warp, but I have played Dragon's Lair 3D. It did a good job of recreating the first game, and also added a great deal to it.

Dragon's Lair 3D would probably have been my favorite, except it's death sequences weren't near as good(although one part of Dragon's Lair 3D, was almost worth the cost of the entire game XD ). I also prefer the older 2D graphics of the original.

dew7

Thanks for the feedback.  I remember Dragon's Lair had phenomenal graphics in the arcade when it was fairly new.  It blew all the other games away in terms of art.  Speaking of graphics, do you prefer the 3d as done in the Shrek movies or the older style 2D graphics like Sinbad and the Seven Seas?
