Do people here tend to have more first-person dreams (i. e., seeing through your own eyes) or third-person dreams (i. e. seeing yourself in the dream).

AFAIK, but you know that's not worth much , my dreams are in first person.
This morning I slept right through my radio alarm, but luckily my father acts as back-up for when that happens. I was in the middle of a dream when he woke me up, and I thought to myself: I must remember this, to post something on the KQ IX-board. However, this particular dream was of a very fleeting kind and before I knew it, it had gone. So no dream for you today.

The same thing happened to me, CC!  I was like "I'm gonna post about that dream!" but now I can't remember it.

The opposite happened to me - I woke up and remembered I had a dream, but I didn't remember anything about it. Only later it came back to me:

I was about to have an operation of some sort done on my leg. I was lying on the operating bed and someone was giving me local anesthetic - they put this large patch over my upper leg and it hurted like hell, like burning up inside. When they finally removed it, they said they may have to put it back on again, and I said no way, I'd rather have a meteor fall from the sky and hit me (which is strange because there was really a meteor shower that night). Then this nurse came holding lots of little glass syringes, and I knew that was more anesthesia for the doctor to inject during the operation. I asked what were they going to do to me - they didn't want to tell me at first but I insisted. They said they are going to cut my whole leg open and look for cancer. I said no thanks and left. Later I saw my whole leg was bruised and the veins were black and blue and sticking out because of what they did, but I knew it was going to get better.

Most of my dreams are first-person. I can't remember any dreams with me seeing myself, but I sometimes get third-person dreams where I watch other people, like in a movie. Sometime the perspectives blend - I could be watching someone and at the same time BE that someone

As for lucid dreaming - I do occasionally get dreams where I know I'm dreaming. But even though I know I should be able to control them, I have trouble doing so. Pretty much like in Real Life

I think I've had one lucid dream, when I was still little, and AFAIK did something that was impossible in real life. However, I don't know if that was the initial setup or the dream or because I thought it up deliberately. I DID know I was in a dream though.

When I'm in a dream and realize it's a dream, I usually try to fly or teleport myself to places. Flying is the easiest, teleporting is harder, and manifesting things is nearly impossible to do

When I was little I had this dream where I was walking to class, then I thought to myself "heck, it's my dream! why am I walking when I can just teleport myself there?" and I did. I guess if  that was truly a lucid dream, I would have thought of someplace better to go to

I was bouncing, with my bouncy ball, higher than normally possible. And since I only had the one, I never got the chance to think about other means of transportation besides the bouncy ball.

I used to have a few lucid dreams when I was a kid.  I forget how I could tell it was a dream and not real.  It wasn't by logic because somehow I would make up these crazy things to have things make sense.  It's like, "Wait a sec, I thought you moved and switched schools 2 years ago?  Oh, you never left and that was really your twin? Gotcha. "  Heh, it's like being drunk.

I think it's when something extremely improbable or even impossible happens in the dream.  All of a sudden it's like, wtf that can't happen in real life!  And it's like you can manipulate your surroundings with a thought or the blink of an eye.

I can tell when I'm dreaming, and change things to the way I want them(most of the time). I rarely have nightmares because of it(when I do, I'm usually very ill, or something horrible happend in RL).

On rare occasions do I realize something is a dream...and when that happens, even on rarer occasions do I try to change it!

Last night, had one:
I was helping my sister and parents pack her school stuff.  We left to head to her school to move her in, and on the way, my brother calls.  He's needing some type of information that my dad can't help with since we're on the road.  Then it changes to all of us walking on a path in the woods (more like a trail in a state park or something) and everyone looks like the comic strip Beetle Bailey

On very rare occasions I too have a night when I can't really sleep, but that just means I'll have no problems falling asleep the next day/night/evening.

lol yeh i slept in till 11:45 today

i dreamt about results which is weird coz i dont really think of them in the day...i dreamt i got BBC...but didnt include general(waste of time) studies

I think it's when something extremely improbable or even impossible happens in the dream.  All of a sudden it's like, wtf that can't happen in real life!  And it's like you can manipulate your surroundings with a thought or the blink of an eye.  

Sometimes even when I know I'm dreaming, things that are impossible or illogical or that are simply not true IRL don't seem strange to me at all.

I dreamt I won a TV on the lottery, and I had to go get it on the same day otherwise I lose it, but my aunt didn't want to take me to pick it up so I was looking at maps to try and get to that place.

I told my aunt about it - she said I should buy a lottery ticket

ok this is gonna be quite a long entry i think. one of the drams i had last ight is still vivid...it actually scared me.
right it started that i was dropped off in liverpool near the radio city tower(alex u will know what im talking about) it actually used to be a revolving restaurant...so i we get inside and as soon as we get inside the actual restaurant, 350 feet above liverpool a loud cranking noise is heard and the restaurant stops tunring. its then lifted  up and we are all inside. the whole tower is rolled through the city and ends up ong the grass of liverpool uni (hahaha) somehow we actualy manage to get out of it alive and our desperately running around the trying to get out. its actually being attacked by a gaint godzilla thing, infact the number of godzillas kept changing from one to about 3, and so did its form.
then it all stopped. no more monsters, just fire and water and the city centre was destroyed.
so we managed to find a nice posh restaurant to eat...at a time of panic and death just eat!
then alex's present could now fly and its laughter was sent to kill me, so i smashed its voice with a hammer.
then i was back in the city centre, only this time with the whole of my school...we were doing the register and in my form i was at the top. looks like the people before me hadnt made it back  
i kept trying to ring mum but the lines were down and i was panicing trying to get out of the city in a cab with friends but then the tunnel had been smashed.
then it i think everything stopped and rebuilding took like 5 mins.
then i was back at school at a prom...a girl i hate had got prom queen (not that we do that in our school) but yeh i stole her crown and ran off with dionne, HA.

but the dream realy frightend me. i think gettin the uni bit in, and the school is kinda my worriedness at the mo about results 2moro

Wow, Kimmie.  Been a long time since I've had a dream THAT vivid.

I had one last night where I was Princess Amelia (from Princess Diaries).  Anyway, I had found my "prince" and, yeah, we got married.  Next thing we know, we're walking through our castle and we're told that our castle has been "sold" and we have to move to our second castle.  Which, of course, we were upset about, because we were about to get settled.

It's good!  Although, my dream had nothing to do with the movie except for who I was.  Like I said in the movie thread, it was good, just corny in a couple of places.  And guess what, Julie Andrews sang!  Ok, so it didn't sound like how she used to be able to sing...but she SANG!

I finally managed to drop off at 4 Am last night and then woke up at 9:30 lol. Don't think I dreamt about anything in pericular, although theres this nagging thing at the back of my ehad that said I did...
