I've got (obviously) KQ1 (twice)-6 (KQ5 in English and French, KQ6 in English and German), A first look at the upcoming King's Quest VII, and an interview with RW.
I think those mini-games apply to every collection.

....Sierra is weird... I understand what the crown has to do with KQ... but two swords with lightning? That isnt KQish at all... Swords never had much of a role, and certainly not magic swords... It probably wouldve been more relevant for the QfG series.... I never liked Sierra's marketing ???

I don't debate, I ramble with STYLE!

The front bit lifts up and then it has information on the KQ series ;)

Just out of curiousity --- did anyone ever buy the Roberta Williams Anthology that had almost all of Roberta's games on it?

Never heard of it :-\

BTW there has been talk of people not able to run KQ on XP, now i know this thread has nothing to do with that (and i dont know if this has been mentioned before but) if you have trouble running them on XP you could run them through safe mode of XP :D, something new i learnt ;D

I don't have the Roberta Williams Anthology... only the KQ (first) collection.

Its true. Disk one exploded and cost us a CD-ROM drive. I still have Disk 2 though. And I'm probably going to get it again...

I should of cleaned it first. Let this be a lesson to everyone, keep your CDs from disrepair and dirt and they won't blow up the CD-ROM drive.

Taking care of your stuff makes a difference -- --  ;)

I have found you need to really take care of dvds and in many ways they are more fragile than video tapes.

I have heard of CD's exploding in one of my "friend of a friend"'s computers. It literally tore through the entire computer. Reminds me of how frag grenades work...

Louisiana Night

I've never seen one explode, but I've seen something similar.

I've seen CDs just snap, when someone applys pressure to both sides. One time, this was not the case.

I saw someone decide to snap a CD, and instead of breaking into two parts, flew off in all directions, in countless pieces.

Even the hard part of the CD, seperated from the film-like part.

Scary. :o
