Some people have been reporting issues with the patcher. We apologize for all the inconvinience. You may want to try to download the full build. It's 1.1 gb, but I'm sure it'll work!

Fabulous. I'll get down to dowloading this. hopefully it won't take as long as I fear. Thanks a lot!

Well depending on the speed any time between 1 day and 13 hours and 7 hours. A small price tp pay, however, for a grand project like this. *squeal*

Nowe the speed is about 1MB 0.0 I didn't know this network I use had it in it - it;s a university network, tends to be used heavily during the day that's why such big files are besty downloaded at night when everyone sleeps and transfer is faster AND I do not distiurb other users that much, hopefully :(
Much appreciated. Really really appreciated.

I have a question about the full installer.  When Episode 2 came out, I installed it to my external hard drive since it has much more space than my internal hard drive.  But the complete .msi was copied to C:\Windows\Installer (under a different name, but it is still TSL in the properties description).  I am presuming it does this so you can repair or uninstall easily, but this means that right now I have a large 757 MB installer sitting on my C drive that I can't remove, lest I lose the ability to uninstall TSL properly should I ever have the need to do so.  Clearly a simpler installer that just had a record of what to remove would be more efficient.

It appears that the Episode 3 patch leaves something in the Installer folder as well, but it is much smaller than the original Episode 3 patch executable.  I am guessing it contains more of a list of what was patched, rather than all of the content.

So my question is, does the full installer for 1+2+3 get copied in full to the Installer folder, or is it smarter and leaves behind a smaller uninstaller?  If it still copies itself in full to the Installer folder, it would be greatly appreciated if full builds of future episodes did not do this, especially since all five chapters together will likely be over 2 GB, seeing how big these installers are getting.

That's an excellent point - I'll direct our installer expert over to this message to have him look at what we can do about this.

Hi, MG,
I'm having that problem with the Patcher. It starts and then just hangs up. I am taking your advice and I'm currently downloading the FULL (Episodes 1+2+3) download. The problem is that the transfer rate of this large file download is only 114 kb per sec, so it's taking a long time. HOWEVER, I do appreciate all your time and efforts in bringing these games to our KQ fans. I know the waiting for the download to complete will be well worth it. All I will need then will be a walkthrough for Episode 3. Being a grandfather, my wits aren't as sharp as they used to be. My 9 grandkids can play games without walkthroughs. I am constantly amazed by them. By the way, do you know when the KQ3 Redux will be released? I have played all of the KQ games, and through the years, I have loved replaying them. As a matter of fact, I'm currently playing the KQ2 Remake, and I love it. Again, thank you for your never-ending contributions to all of us avid KQ fans.
                                                                                                                 Sincerely,
                                                                                                                  Sandy

Hi Sandy,

Currently, we are encouraging our fans to hold off on walkthroughs because of our two currently running contests, The Many Deaths of King Graham and Everyone Needs A Little Suffering. When these two contests have concluded, we welcome any and all walkthroughs; I'm a fan of them myself. I never play a game without the strategy guide or some form of a walkthrough. They help me beat a game.

King's Quest III Redux is being done by AGDInteractive and unfortunately we currently do not know the release. I want the game myself though. I'll be shutting myself away in my dorm room for hours on end forgetting about the world around me while I play through that game.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We're here to help!

Thats what im doing right now, im Downloading the Full Game, instead of the Patch, i should be Finished in 6 Hours (3pm) :(

night-owl

I was almost there but firefox crashed at 914 MB due to overheating due to so many hours downloading :( CPU was at 70-8j0, firefox using most of it and I'm really quite disappointed that my all-nighter proved all for nothing. It's 5:30 am, I've been dowloading since the moment it was out... I don't store cache on firefox or use download managers, I guess I will have to try and download another time, though not anytime soon :(  I can't do it too often in order not to overburden the network and during daytime is out of the question as I have to be considerate of other network users. Downloading such big files has an impact on their connection speed.

Small price of adventuring, which will happen sooner or later.  Now turning off this wretched overheated machine and off to catch a wink.  I am excited for the release though and happy it;s out - thanks for all of your hard work.

You should try using Firefox's built in download manager; it helps me out with big files.

Thanks, MG, for getting back to me about the situation concerning the walkthrough for Episode 3. I'm willing to bet that "CHIEF" of Gameboomers fame will have the Episode 3 walkthrough up and running soon.    ;)

Thanks, Daventry, I'll probably try that though I never noticed I had a download manager in firefox.

Really fantastic. The patch download took little time, but it doesn't install, just hangs up at one third. The download button on the main page does not work. All that happens is that (javascript) appears in the status bar. So many months and then no working download. Very professional.

Sorry for the site issue, we'll have that fixed ASAP - the download page for Episode 3 is here http://www.postudios.com/episode_iii.php

So apparently you guys inadvertently fixed whatever my problems were. I installed the Episode 3 full build and I'm playing episode 2 now successfully. There are still graphical glitches like that initial logo or loading screen being stretched out and some of the textures not working properly (just on the trees on the Isle of Mists so far). I also noted that when launched through Steam, the Steam graphical overlay UI doesn't show up (Shift-Tab). Oh well.

I'm also a little disappointed to discover you did not implement my suggestion of middle-click always toggles between the walk icon and the previously selected icon (be it look, user, talk, or an inventory object). Was that not possible? Or was it just forgotten? I'd love to see it implemented as all Sierra P&C games had this feature including AGDI's remakes.

We tried to, but it started to create a myriad of bugs. We put it aside for a second, and then, honestly, we couldn't get back to it.

But, that said, I'm glad you are finally able to play the game! :D
