The other playable character

Personally, I'm a guy, so I don't pay attention so much to clothing. I just noticed that she was up and looked healthier. Someone else made the comment I'm using for reference.

Checking out the screenshots, I don't see the pumpkin behind Rosella.  Am I blind?  The background doesn't look like Ooga Booga, though.  I'd rather see her in a dream version of Tamir, personally, if we get to play her.

If the nature of the other playable characters are just interludes, then I think it's safe to say we'll be Rosella and Alexander in their dream lands.  That would be interesting but my worry would be that it would just be short interludes (like the length of Graham's visit to the bizarro Tower Realm.)  That would just leave me wanting more.

But the feeling I got from the announcement was more that you could play as other characters who will be journeying alongside Graham.  As if once Graham finishes with the Green Isles and goes to Shadrack's Realm (presumably) he won't be the only one going.  If that is the case, then I think the other playable characters would be Valanice (because she's up and about) and the Ranger (by default because he seems to know what's up).  I guess it could be Cassima or Edgar.  But I really think Valanice is one, which just leaves room for one more character, and I can't see including Cassima without Edgar, or Edgar without Cassima.  They both have the same stake in this, so bringing one and leaving the other out would be odd.

Oh, and I'm not really seeing the druidic influence in Valanice's outfit.  It could be, but I thought the druids were in plainer brown hooded cloaks.  Don't know what Valanice is in as it doesn't seem to be her regular dress.  I guess it could be a druid cloak and it would make sense and all, but it could just as easily not be.

I just looked at the previews again. I realized that "Ranger" is leaning against the Druidic/Mother Nature Tree, which means Graham goes back - possibly with Valanice. Also, I see that "pumpkin" thing, which looks more like the Silvite girl's pet from Skies of Arcadia. I don't know if that's a creature, or just a black hair ribbon that looks like a mouth in the background.

The other playable character is
Cedric the Owl!
We've thought of many possible death sequences so you may satiate your vendetta against him.

Are there any POISONOUS things?

Well the nightshade flower is technically poisonous.

The Black Widow is actually venomous, not poisonous. If it is injected it is considered venomous, all other ways are poisonous. Trivia for the day!

This is true, I took a midterm on it last Thursday...  :dead:
"Hi Rosella. The bad guys captured me as a kid and I couldn't figure out what was going on until you saved me a few years back. After all your efforts, I couldn't even stay out of trouble for one day and the bad guys got me all over again. My mind is easily warped, so I had no self-control when I turned you into an ugly troll. Then I almost blew up the world with this volcano..."

So if you eat it, it's poisonous.  What if you ate it and it bit the inside of your stomach?  Then would it be venomous or poisonous?

Eating the spider wouldn't be harmful if it died on the way down before biting as venom doesn't hurt you if you ingest it (poisons do of course), but if it bit you inside, then it would inject your bloodstream with venom and still be a venomous spider, not poisonous. However, animals that secret toxins from their skin or contain it in their saliva, like a dart frog for example, are considered poisonous as the toxins aren't naturally injected and would harm you if you did swallow it.

Potentially the most annoying plot hole in the entire King's Quest universe.  I will probably lose sleep over this.

I work at an exotic reptile store so we get this question a lot from customers asking us if we have any poisonous snakes, and we give them a bit of educational fun facts by explaining the difference between venomous and poisonous animals. Of course we don't have any venomous snakes but we do sell Tarantulas which are venomous, albeit not the uber deadly kind.

Of course, we all know Cedric's intelligence level as a character, so it is natural for him to make the mistake! LOLOLOLOL!

Well, that and the fact that he was too emotionally driven (in a cowardly way) to always think before speaking.

I like what SQ6 did on that note:

In one scene in Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist, you see Cedric being killed and eaten by birds of prey in the background. That just rocks!

Chuck Norris! Eeek!

He and Mr. T (no relation to Mr. Coffee. :P) have become the non-comic-book versions of Superman and Batman - as in, "Who would win in a battle?"

Judging from the trailer, it does appear that Rosella will be the other playable character in episode 4, and that we will be visiting the crypt in Tamir to deal with Pandora's box once more.  Of course, this could still be a dream sequence in which Rosella is not playable, or Rosella may have already woken up but not be playable in this sequence.
