stuck after tower

So i went to the tower, got past the guardians, came back got the crown. I have the shell, candle, clippers, the pea, and everything else on the island that I could grab. I've gone everywhere, talked to everyone and done as much as I could think to do. From what I've pieced together from the books and what not there is something to do with the zodiac ring, the clippers, and maybe the shell or nightshade? I have no idea where to go from here. I don't have any of the spell ingredients and can't seem to do the one thing I need to do next to get the game rolling again. I tried putting the shell and clippers onto the candles where the druid is hanging out but it doesn't do anything. I'm starting to get a little frustrated. can I get pointed in the right direction? nothing to vague please, don't tell me to read the books again because I've already done that several times now...

Actually, I think you might need to read the Four Winds. Also, it sounds like you may still need to do something by the nature spirit-tree. Do you have anything that might be related to that inscription?
