TSL costume design

I love the beautiful, creative costumes the characters wear in TSL. Graham's formal wedding garments are elegant and handsome, very nice, fit for a king, is about time Graham got some new clothes. ROsella's wedding gown is gorgeous, simply beautiful, perfect fantasy princess wedding dress. Valanice royal purple dress is also beautiful, Cassima's harem outfit is pretty too. Alexander's clothes are dashing stlylish and good looking. I like the new designs. I draw with pencil and paper, I draw fashion designs myself.

Thanks for the comments on the costume design; we have some AMAZING artists working for Phoenix. They don't get enough praise for what they do. Each piece of artwork I see is beautiful.

It's also nice to see that TSL continued the KQ tradition of mixing the last 700 years of European fashion (it would have been weird if TSL were consistent, considering that the original games are not).  For example, in KQ4, Rosella dresses like she came out of Italy around 1400, in KQ7 she dresses like ... well, to be honest she dresses like a Disney fairy tale character, but I think the closest match to real-life fashion would be 1890s (that's a stretch though)... and in TSL she's wearing a wedding dress from the second half of the 20th century.  Valanice likewise jumps forward in time - in KQ 7 she dresses like she's from 1200 or 1300, and in TSL she's dressed like she's from 1750.  Yes, I studied this in college... and I don't think it's a bad thing that the fashion timeline is mixed up, it contributes to my amusement, just as it does in the original games.

It's a pain to stick to one era. There's so many nice dresses out there. Why not experiment ^^

I'd LOVE to see some TSL characters in Victorian clothing. I'm a big fan of that era

Which part of the Victoria era? My favourite part of the Victorian era is the 1870s bustle dresses (which are so much prettier than the 1880s bustle dresses), though I also like some of the 1830s/early 40s dresses before they put on too many petticoats.  However, I prefer the mid-18th century and Edwardian era to pretty much all of the fashion of the 19th century.

I think KQ/TSL's taste in fashion is not too far from my own, considering how they tend to pick dresses from my favoured eras: the medieval Gothic era, the Italian renaissance, the Rococo, etc ...

I'm not familiar with the exact timing of the fashions I like, but that era had alot in it I liked. Normally men have very dull outfits, but their outfits were bold and lavish. The corsets, waist coats, cravats, the craft from that era, furniture, buildings... It was all so.... ornate and beautiful I'm not sure what time period it averages out to be though I'm not well inverse in fashion.

And I think that 19th century (not just Victorian) male fashion isn't very interesting at all ... much more interesting in 18th century.  Of course my favourite male fashion comes from the Baroque era (think Three Musketeers).  My teacher detested the Baroque fashion because she thought it was too weird and twisted, but it's the twisted nature which makes it so intriguing to me.

If he wasn't wearing the Adventure hat, then he could pull it off. When I say I like beards, I feel that all beard suit atleast SOME man out there in the world. The man shouldn't wear an unbalancing hat with it though or it'll look stupid. I even have times when I see a cleanly shaven guy and think 'He should have stubble or something'. I think Mutton chops can look cool on a guy.

I think late medieval, Renaissance, 18th century and 1870's are my favorite costume time periods. I like folk costumes from different cultures, German, and Eastern European folk costumes, Chinese dragon robes, Indian saris, and pretty Japanese kimonos, some exotic costumes worn by foreign cultures. There is a little bit of Arabic flare to the Land of the Green Isles and the garb worn by its people. I would like to draw paper dolls of King's Quest characters.
