Negative. Why do you ask?

Because I stopped there on my road trip in February. I thought maybe you'd be familiar with it, but then, NC is much bigger than CT so the odds that you'd have seen a random state park are small.

Ah. Yeah, I live along the coast, so it's a good two hours from me.
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Quote from: koko_99_2001 on March 22, 2011, 07:47:56 AMWhat do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
And by the way, since I completely forgot to mention this in my recording, it's not a spider. ;)
Interesting... apparently the Australia/NZ version IS a true spider, unlike the American version. And then, there's this.

I've also heard that a daddy long legs is one of the most poisonous spiders there is, relative to its body size--but it's fangs are too small to puncture a human's skin, so we aren't threatened by it.

LOL, nevermind--the wikipedia article alone debunked that one!

Arkillian, I always liked you, but hearing your voice makes me LOVE you!  ;D  I could seriously listen to you talk forever--you should record yourself reading kids' stories.

So far my favorite part is what people call it when the sun shines while it rains--it's weird to hear other people's common phrase for it. I am smug in the fact that I know it's "sunbreaks." ;)

I will probably record and post this later... hrmm... I think I'll try to convince Deloria to do it too. :P
You will, will you? ::) But you really, really don't want to listen to me. :P Also, I'll have to do it when I'm not feeling masochistic (refusing to take drugs) or high (have taken too many drugs), so it could take a while. :P

Yeah- NZ doesn't have any wild snakes, but we make up for it by the scariest spiders I can think of. My home town (Avondale) had a local spider called the Avondale spider that they used in the movie Arachnophobia. I've seen a few of them in my years in Avondale. These things are HUGE spiders. Adults could strangle a small animal. They use them in movies cause they're pretty timid of humans- they're huntsman spiders. ME, I'm scared of spiders so I'm happy to not be near overgrown spider city XD There's daddylong legs up the wazzo in Kumeu though :/ They're unlikely to be able to bite through our skin though. We have a native spider here though called the Katipo spider. These ones and the white tail spiders are our deadly ones. (Oh man- seeing the wii articles about them- only found in NZ and Australia. I'm SCREWED. The two countries I visit the most T.T

Oh- you haven't heard it before? I'm sure I posted a link to a youtube video before now... *blushes* I was considering doing a Let's play with KQ3, but the recording failed the first few times, and I haven't had the time since. I get really nervous too XD

Oh, I didn't miss yours. :) I thought that I posted about your voice being deeper than I expected, but I guess that was something I started typing and somehow never posted.  I can't hear an accent in your voice, though, atec.  You sound like a Westerner if ever I heard one. XD

The concept of having no accent isn't really true because, for example, to a Southerner, you do have an accent. Everyone has an accent.

Okay, fair enough. I wish mine was cool, though, like Arkillian's.  Or Cat's!  She has such a sweet, gentle Southern drawl.

It's not really. :P There will be lots of whimpering/gasping if I do the former and I'll probably make less sense and be much more chatty if I do the latter. :P
