Good  luck to all!  If you needed writers, I'd be all over that.  But I'm not sure I'm as good an artist as you require. :)

If applications start AFTER Easter then I could give it a go. Till Easter though I'm pretty busy.

We'd still like to see your work. I don't write professionally, but I'm now writing really good articles for the FW. Just feel free to send and/or link us to examples of your work. We'd be interested in your ability, not whether you've done anything professionally or not. You have to start somewhere, right? I for one am very interested in what you submit. I'm a personal fan of your work anyway!

It's open 'til it's filled Arkillian :) Personally, I'd love to see you apply, your work is fantastic!

And yes, basically just send us an email with a link to your work, and let us know your availability, experience and what programs, methods, etc you can use. It doesn't have to be a professionally formatted resume or anything.

I'm certainly not a professional; I've got no experience with PR or beta-testing outside of POStudios. I'm barely out of high school to be honest. I actually started working for Phoenix at the tail end of senior year. I'm working at becoming a professional in the game industry, but I'm not there yet. But I think I can say that it's the fact that we're not professionals that makes us unique. We're all normal individuals who have extraordinary skills in what we do, be it PR, writing, art, programming, etc. We're giving ordinary people the shot to become professionals. I think that's great for a company to do. We seek out the best talent we can, and honestly, a lot of that talent has come from normal individuals, not industry professionals or big-names. I believe that the fans have both the power and the talent to pull of an amazing game. Phoenix itself is living proof of that ideal; we started out as fans trying to revive a forgotten series. We've come so far and learned so much. We've had our ups and we've had our downs, but in the end, a group of like-minded and dedicated fans made history. We became a success story. I'll be working on the documentary Phoenix Online Studios: The Inside Story!

Simplified, office staff. I work for a welder repair company NZ Welder Repair. It's a pretty manly job, I know, but it's pretty cool. I have a pretty big knowledge base on welders. Unless you know your welders, I'd likely know more knowledge than anyone on this site. It's a pretty good pick up line actually... XD Art I've always done as a hobby cause I didn't have many friends as a child, and I watched too much 80s cartoons. I had WAY too much imagination, and art was how I got rid of 'creative tension'. Theoretically I write too, but I don't write half as much as I draw.

hun, there's no such thing as too much imagination. if there was, i'd be in jail for abusing imagination. I live in an imaginary world half the time. Most kids had imaginary friends. I took my imagination a whole lot further though. I had an entire imaginary class. I used to pretend I was a teacher and I had imaginary students. A whole class of imaginary students. I'm not even kidding either. That was how powerful my imagination was until I discovered high speed internet and youtube.

... I had dolls for that. I use to write more as a kid. I still have my stories from when I was a kid. I once wrote a story about the life of a 100th and 1000th. IT came from a magically powered sugar cane stick that turned Mac Donald into old Mac Donald in fright, and It's name was Dean Cane (a word play on Dean Cain, an actor that played Superman in one of the Superman tv series), and his adventures in he mill, getting painted two colours, falling for the yellow 100th and 1000th and meeting his sugary demise on the sunday roast XD His powers dissolving away never to be discovered by the world XD I love that story :3 I didn't get my own computer till I was 10, and internet till I was 18 though so I didn't get brought up on the net like you guys did. My knowledge base was limited to cartoons, books, and computer games like King's Quest. Apparently I use to play KQ6 all the time ^^ :sweetheart:

Though I like childhood imagination games discussion, I'll have to ask that stuff get taken elsewhere so we can keep this thread for questions about the artist positions :)

I just heard about this post a few hours ago. I can imagine that you've received quite a few resumes so far. However, I'm still really interested in helping you guys for the 2D arts. But first, I'd like to play the TSL episodes. So let me know if you still need an artist until then. And since this is my first post: "Hi everyone! It's nice meeting you :)"

KatieHal

We're still accepting resumes and submissions for it--plus there is the orange ballon up above advertising for environmental artists, which we're also still looking for. :)

Also hello and welcome!
