ep 2 buying wares

[spoiler]I was reading the walkthrough for help when I got stuck. It said I should be able to buy a map in the town square however the game is saying I don't need those wares? Thus far I have gotten the lethal liquid, sprayed plants in isle of wonder for key, learned about the silver vs black clokers, and gotten a fishing rod and hole in wall. Dont know what to do next?[/spoiler]

You have to know that you need a map before you can actually buy one.  The specific thing that you need to do here is:

[spoiler]Show your scroll to Ali in the bookshop and he'll tell you to bring him a map.[/spoiler]
