[NOT-FIXED]Game crashes everytime i enter the castle with windows 7 (Category: Graphics)

Is this game comptaible with Windows 7? Ever since  Every time i enter the castle ( the main room with the two stairs in particular )  in the silver lining at the isle of the Crown ) even with the lowest resolution and no details it still crashes when i enter the castle. This did not happen with Windows XP so is there something incompatible between the game and the new windows 7. Other people have been also complaining that the game freezes at other places. So it could be the game and not my machine. Well through the messages on this forum,   these random crashes have been annoying a lot of people I hope you fix it by the time episode 4 and 5 come out.

this messages TSL.exe has stopped working  every time i enter the castle.  and i mean compatible. misspelled it sorry.

Can you post more information on your computer please?  Like what kind of video card you have, how much dedicated video memory, and how much RAM?  Thanks!

oh and it works fine everywhere else it just crashes in the castle and the same crash happens on other computers like my friend's when i tried playing it there also with windows 7.

 I have a Intel pentium CPU 2.80 GHZ with 2.00 Gigabytes of ram and a 32 bit operating system. My video card has 256 mb capacity. The drive I installed the sliver lining on has a ton of space more than a terabyte.

That should be plenty of video memory then - have you installed the most current video driver from the manufacturer's web site?

It's extremely odd then that your computer crashes and can't load the castle scene at all.  The only thing in there that causes crashes is the fancy reflective floor and I've seen people with far lower computer specs able to go into the castle just fine by just unchecking the reflections box in the graphics settings and maybe lowering the resolution.  This is the first time I've heard from someone whose computer met the game requirements but couldn't load just this one particular scene.  I'll have to think about this some more.

I have the same problem as you except my game freezes whenever Graham tries to walk past the Banshee.  When the game freezes and I check task manager (ctrl+alt+del) a Torque memory error is reported.  Do you get the same thing?  Did you ever notice the Windows compatibility assistant make an automatic change to your game?
