I just ran across a trailer for a game called, "Machinarium." I know I'm late, 'cause the website says "2009," but I never saw it mentioned here or on an Adventure Games list before.  Anyway, here's the site link:

I think it looks good.  Very Wall-E-esque.

Any thoughts?

That looks really cool; I've heard of it before, but I hadn't really given it much thought. I guess that has to change...

Yeah. If you go to the website and Play the Free Demo, it actually loads in your browser and you play the first few screens. I'll wait until the price drops before I buy it. I'm finding all kinds of new Point & Clicks out there. Edna and Harvey looks great, too. So Blonde looks like it has some of the same artists as Monkey Island. My poor bank account!

For those who haven't seen Machinarium yet, it's a TOTAL MacGuyver game.

http://us-adventureshop.gamesplanet.com has Machinarium and MANY more adventure games - a lot of Point and Clicks, included - for sale.  Quite a few prices have dropped on their games.

My bank account is going to hate me now. It's yelling at me as it is, and now I have to buy more games...

I'm hearin' ya! I'm gonna end up shelling out upwards of 40 bucks for Skies of Arcadia next month, as it is. Then, possibly Edna and Harvey. But, at least the prices occasionally drop on the site. Maybe just Skies... and So Blonde; it's only 10 bucks. Machinarium is definitely on my Future Purchases list, though.

Machinarium is a sweet game. A little frustrating at times if you get stuck, but still very fun to play, and brings a character and a story to the table that you can't help but fall in love with. Definitely worth checking out!
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Thanks for the recommendation, Enchantermon. According to the website, the demo is about 10% of the game, and that took me a little while, so I'm looking forward to buying the full game. I like the unsolicited sequences you get from just standing in a room; they really help as hints.

I just bought Machinarium. I'm looking forward to playing it this July. It seems great. I bought it with Samorost2 for $22.

If anyone is interested in the Rhem games, AdventureShop is having a sale on all 4 games - Rhem Trilogy + Rhem 4 - only $15!
The link to AdventureShop is in this thread.

Anyway, cool site. Machinarium looks great!

I played it way back when it was released and loved every moment. It is beautifully drawn, has wonderfully realised characters who you can empathise with without them even speaking, and cleverly has a hint and puzzle-solution system which is time-consuming enough that you don't turn to it whenever you get stuck, but means you can finish the game without actually googling a walkthrough. I heartily recommend it; it's clearly had a lot of love poured into it.

I started playing this in December and just finished it a few days ago. :) The characters are adorable, it's beautifully drawn and the puzzles are very clever. :)

Now I'm really looking forward to it! Thanks for the reviews!

I might buy this one.  The demo only took me like 10 minutes so I'm not sure if I'd want to spend 20 bucks if I can finish the whole rest of the game in a couple hours.

Machinarium, I have the collectors edition, haven't gotten around to playing it yet, but it's high on my list. 8) Also play the Samorost games by the same developers.
