Anti-aliasing?

I've been searching but the only way to enable AA seems to be in the driver? This is unlike most (commercial) games in which you have to set it from the launcher or configuration window. It does improve the look of the game in my opinion so it's a shame if other people don't use it when it's possible :).

And of course my regard, I've read about the history of the project and it's a miracle how far you guys have come!

Somewhat off the topic, but there are a couple of commercial games that I have had to enable AA through the driver control panel. Mass Effect and BoA: Hell's Highway are two that come to mind.

But forcing AA does make TSL look nice, right?

For TSL, the only way to add anti-aliasing and other enhancements, is to do it through your PC's graphics card control panel.

Forcing AA definitely makes TSL look nicer.  But that isn't the only thing.  By default, the Torque engine sets the mip-mapping and anisotropic filtering levels very low, so you'll see a break in the textures in the background - they will be lower-quality looking, sometimes fuzzy (low-resolution), and there will be a harsh jump between the higher-quality texture and the lower-quality texture in the bg.  So, in your graphics card control panel (Nvidia or ATI's CCC), set the Mip-mapping level to Quality, not Performance (set it to it's highest) and turn on the Anisotropic filtering.  I set the AF to it's max, 16x on my card.  Just doing those two things make TSL look MUCH better.  Couple that with 2x or 4x full-screen anti-aliasing (or higher if you're PC can handle it without too much frame rate drop), the game looks almost completely different - like you're playing a different game.  The graphics are incredibly crisp-looking.

Give it a shot and let us know what you think!
