This is in regards to this game: The Whispered World.

I don't know how long it's been on sale or when the sale is over, but I just noticed it on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/) for 33% ($10.20) of what it normally costs ($29.99).

For those that know nothing about Steam, it is an online store that digitally distributes games over the Internet. Once you buy it, your account owns it forever. You can also gift the game instead of purchasing it for yourself.

Is the game any good? I don't know anything about it.

Out of all the German developed games out there, this is the one you should especially know about. Check out some reviews. Also play 'Edna and Harvey', and 'a new beginning' from the same company.

This game looks good. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. My bank account is going to hate me, but I feel I must purchase this game.

I did not pick it up during the sale and already regret not doing so. I hope some people that did grab it will come in here and share their impressions though.

I got this a while back as part of a bundle from TellTale. I have trouble getting it to start on my computer, and the videos don't play properly. Supposedly this is due to copy protection, so maybe it would work better through Steam. It seems that not everybody has this problem, so it could also be that my computer isn't powerful enough. Once the game is running, there aren't any problems (other than the video cutscenes). I really enjoyed the game. I would recommend not finding out the ending before playing through the game - it has an interesting twist. Some of the reviews complained about illogical puzzles, but that's pretty standard fare for adventure games. I definitely recommend this game!

Thanks snabbot, good to hear such a glowing review (technical issues aside). I have bumped it up to my #1 item on my wish list on Steam, though I will probably wait for it to go on sale again before I purchase. $30 is a bit much to me.
