That's right, folks! Straight San Diego Comic-Con, the trailer for The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra has appeared online! There's a shaky-cam version and an official version hosted on Nickelodeon's website. For the sake of convenience, I'll link Nickelodeons.

Frankly, I'm ecstatic about this. I read some details about the information that was revealed during the Comic-Con panel, but I'm going to refrain from posting it for now.

Here's a page with a lot of pics and info about what was discussed at the panel.  Vids of the panel will probably appear online eventually but for now the info on this site makes me very content.  Especially the part about them having 2 mini seasons about the Legend of Korra set to go.

I'm so sad my brother was there all four days and didn't go to the panel or get the awesome poster  :'(
"Hi Rosella. The bad guys captured me as a kid and I couldn't figure out what was going on until you saved me a few years back. After all your efforts, I couldn't even stay out of trouble for one day and the bad guys got me all over again. My mind is easily warped, so I had no self-control when I turned you into an ugly troll. Then I almost blew up the world with this volcano..."

Nice! I can't wait. I watched the entire Avatar series from beginning to end just to prepare myself for The Last Airbender movie. Suffice it to say, the series alone made up for the movie. This new one is going to be epic.

I can hardly wait. I just finished viewing the first series on DVD for the first time.

This series looks like so many kinds of awesome. I seriously am tempted to break into Nickelodeon's offices and steal the episodes, whether they're finished or not. I want to see this right now. I'm definitely going to watch the premiere on TV. Heck, I'm gonna take the whole day off from work and throw a party.

At least you guys in the US will know when it's going to premiere. As for the rest of the world, no one knows for sure.

No one knows when it's premiering, in the U.S. or otherwise. All they've said, to my knowledge, is 2012. That's as specific as they've gotten.

You got at least a year pin downed. For Canada, It's always chaotic. It could be running:

- more or less at the same time 8)
- weeks in advance ;D
- a year later  :dead:
- on a channel that my provider doesn't have :wall:

I see. Well, there's always youtube! I mean, come on. Someone is going to upload the episodes to the internet eventually. They may get taken down swiftly, but I'm sure someone will upload them.

So apparently this Water Tribe member has already mastered three of the four elements. A whole season based on learning airbending makes sense, but it sounds like this spin-off is going to be short-lived.

Well, it's already got two seasons, so it'll last that long at least. Nick ordered an initial 12 episodes, but later ordered an additional 14 on top of that 12. They decided to make the initial 12 episodes comprise all of season 1, while the latter 14 will comprise all of season 2. Beyond that, we have no idea how long it'll last. I'm hoping it'll last for a while, but that's the Avatard in me speaking.

From what I've heard about it, the focus isn't as much on learning to master the elements as it was in The Last Airbender. Sounds like there's a large storyline around this steampunk city and the anti-bending movement.

That's cool, but I was always motivated to keep up with The Last Airbender because I wanted to see Aang progress on this long quest of his. I'll still watch the entirety of The Legend of Korra, but the political mumbo-jumbo, I can do without.

On a completely unrelated note, this is my 1000th post. Time to celebrate!  :partyhat:

Congratulations, Fierce Deity!

I'll watch Legend of Korra with or without political mumbo-jumbo. as long as the original writers are behind it, I'll watch it.

I just want to find out what happened to Zuko's mother. I think that's the only real loose end from the original series...

Same here. Unless you count Longshot, Smellerbee, the Dai Li, and... But what happened to Zuko's mother is the biggest of all loose ends.

Wouldn't it be interesting if she started the anti-bending rebellion? then again, something tells me she's not the one who did, but who knows.
