I thought everyone here should know, in case any didn't, The Lion King is being re-released to movie theathers for a two week span, starting September 16th. It's being re-released in 3D, wide release.

Awww, awesome!  I saw it twice in theatres the first time it was out, I can see it a third time now!  Thanks for the info!

I saw a poster for it about a month ago in one of my several local movie theaters. I need to see it again, so I plan to take advantage of this.

Tell all of your friends. Maybe we can get The Lion King to be the biggest grossing movie of the year...Show people 2D Disney films aren't dead, and that stuff like the Lion King is what people want, not Hannah Montana.

Heh.  Hannah Montana is SO out.  In fact, HIllary Duff is pregnant with her first child!  I'd say you're out of whack with pop-culture, man!    Actually, so am I.  I have NO idea who the latest Disney Pop Princess they're selling the kids today is.

Disney's always done that.  They sold Annette Funicello and Haley Mills like that back in the day.

LOL, you're out of touch enough that I need to point out Hannah Montana was played by Miley Cyrus, not Hilary Duff. :) (Duff was Lizzie McGuire!)

I think I have a decent idea who the latest Disney icons are. For one, I'd say Selena Gomez as well as Debby Ryan. I've been out of touch with Disney for a bit, but I know both of those girls are more recent. Also, Disney 2D films are most certainly NOT dead! Disney is releasing a new one every 2-3 years. It started with Princess and the Frog, and most recently they came out with Winnie The Pooh. Next year they're releasing Wreck-It Ralph, which is about a video game villain who wants to become a good guy. I'm actually planning on seeing that. Either way, my friend and I are most likely going to see The Lion King together.

You know what would be interesting?  A Kingdom Hearts movie.
I have my cake and eat it too, until it's gone.  Then I can't do either.

Aww!  You have the Sword of Hugging +3!  All of your attacks deal affectionate damage!

This. 100% this. Though I'd like it to be CG. I like the CG the Kingdom Hearts series uses, and I'd like to see a movie out of it. But for the record, Disney doesn't own Kingdom Hearts; Square Enix does. Disney, to my knowledge, has a partnership or an agreement with them that allows them to use Disney properties in Kingdom Hearts. I could be wrong though.

Hey, cool! I was six when The Lion King came out, so I have no idea if I saw it in theaters or not. But if there's one around that's playing it, I'm definitely going to see it! The Lion King is one of my most favorite Disney movies of all time!
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

I went to see this in the cinema during the week; it's amazing to see that they can manage to implement 3D so well to a film that is nearly twenty years old.
