Anyone else feel that Greensleeves should've remained the theme of King's Quest? Or at least have been included in some way in games past KQ2? I personally think it really helps set the medieval fantasy/fairy tale tone of the series and the scene of Graham tipping his hat to the audience while it plays is iconic:

Yeah, Greensleeves is a great companion to King's Quest.  Though I was more familiar with the Apple IIgs version, which had completely different music.

The music starts about :20 seconds in.

For me Greensleeves is the iconic King's Quest theme.  The start of KQ2 with Graham walking across the screen and bowing is symbolic of everything King's Quest is for me.

That said, I don't think it should have remained the exclusive theme.  The games themselves changed the main characters and the subsequent themes fit those characters better.  I can't imagine KQ4, for example, having Greensleeves as an opening.  It wouldn't fit Rosella as well.

I also couldn't imagine KQ5 opening with Greensleeves.

I don't think I would like any of the music in later games to be changed, but I do liken Greensleeves to being the National Anthem of Daventry.  Perhaps as an easter egg or something, when you're actually playing the games (on the proviso that you're in Daventry), but the soundtracks to the games are great as is.
