Anyone here love his videos?
I think a bunch of us should petition to get him to review one of the Sierra games--KQ, SQ, LSL, anyone--He has a lot of fans--His videos get hundreds of thousands of views--and it would basically be free promotion of the series to a bunch of people who otherwise might not have even heard of KQ. His reviews are also becoming more tame--They aren't ripping apart games; some games, like Swordquest, he is generally just reviewing and even praising. I think it'd be a great bit of promotion of Sierra's games, particularly in conjunction with TT's revival of KQ.

Anyone with me on this?

Doesn't he only review bad games?

Used to. Now he just reviews in general.

Lambonius

Yeah, but he's always been pretty explicit in saying that he doesn't review computer games.  Just console games.  Now, I suppose we could petition him to review the NES version of KQ5, but that port is pretty darn awful, and not a good representation of the series at all.

Speaking of which, Paw is doing an LP of the NES King's Quest: http://www.youtube.com/user/pawdugan#p/u/0/WxM_8-pYQB0

It is indeed pretty awful!

James Rolfe has gone on record to say that he never did like P&C games because he'd always get lost and stuck and never knew what to do. But since it has such a cult following I can't see him reviewing them as bad games just because he's not partial to them. That's not really fair, and James is smart enough to know better than that.

Sir Perceval of Daventry

He's moved on from just reviewing "bad" games. He's reviewed games he actually likes.
I think if it worked and he played even just one of the Sierra games, it could be the best promotion they've had in years. He has a wide audience in the gaming community.

Actually, I think he's reserving ET for a full-length movie.
I have my cake and eat it too, until it's gone.  Then I can't do either.

I enjoy the AVGN videos (as well as the spin-offs, like Board James); the guy has a certain charisma about him that works well in what he does.  Sometimes I think he goes a bit over-the-top; I definitely prefer the videos where he's just reviewing bad games and getting frustrated at them, as opposed to waylaying that for a load of elaborate computer effects, but overall, his videos are fun.
